Dance Recital hair ideas

My 5 year old has a pictures for her dance class this Saturday. We have been trying to grow her hair long for this recital so we would have more options to style it. However just this past weekend her father decided to take her and get it chopped off without consulting me first. Now I don't know what we can do. She has one costume that has a headband and the second has a round head piece that you just bobby pin to her head around a bun but her hair is too short for a bun.. any good dance recital hair ideas?

Well me and her daddy are in the end stages of a custody battle. It was more a vindictive thing from him to me. But anyway he took her to a barber instead of a salon I will post a picture up in a minute so that you can see how short it is.

OMG! I would KILL my husband! But, then again, that doesn't solve the problem, does it? LOL...How short is the haircut? My daughter has a bob...we put a cute flip in it for this year's Daddy Daughter Dance at her school. You can take a look here...

Can you get it into a ponytail? If you can get it into a ponytail, instead of a traditional bun, take sections of her hair and just turn it out from the ponytail and pin it and spray it. It kind of act and look like a bun without actually being one. Having had short hair all my life I have come up with lots of ways to make stuff work. Hope that helps.

maybe sum curls it will look like she has short hair anyway n will look pretty.or expreiment with lots of pins n hairspray
