Hi there,

I am buying a crib for my 2nd baby, whom is growing out of her bassinet RAPIDLY. She is days away from her 3 month birthday and weighs almost 15lbs and is 25+ inches long!! Anyway, her tiny brother (18 month old who weighs 19 lbs and is 29 inches tall) has the Kolcraft crib that had the recalled hardware. So they don't sell that one anymore (not that I would really want another one after the recall, although I feel afe having just replaced the hardware). I really like the look of the Delta Eclipse 4 in 1 crib (her brother's is a 4 in 1 as well and I think it's a must) but it looks GIANT in Target!! It is a floormodel there, but it says it fits standard mattresses. The Target reviews don't really tell me anything specifically about the mattress the person bought, so does anyone here have experience with the Delta Eclipse crib?

I think it's gorgeous, but not worth the hassle of buying a mattress only to have to return it and find a new one if it doesn't fit...

Thanks ladies!

I just bought this same crib last night and I bought simmons baby mattress and it fits fine. I was worried at first that it was to big but it fits perfectly, :)

I have a delta eclipse 4 in 1 crib and I've been researching and seeing if I could find anyone who already has the crib and what kind of mattress they bought because I agree, I don't want to buy a mattress it not fit and then have to take it back but I'm due in 12 days and I'm running out of time! did you end up buying the Delta Eclipse crib and if so what kind of mattress did you get?

All cribs need to meet certain standards by law; this includes the space between the rails as well as the crib mattress fitting appropriately without more than a safe gap between the edges and the crib itself. It should be fine. It appears the rail does not drop though (not sure if you noticed), but this may be an issue for you. We preferred the ones that don't, simply because they can't accidentally fall down as the child gets older.
