i think they are worthless! putting them in the garbage is what i do. i used to have a diaper genie and i thought it was cool until i had to empty it and had a 100 ft sausage tube of nasty smelly diapers. save yourself some money, and save your nose and just put them in the regular garbage, if they are super stinky, use a plastic grocery bag to wrap it in. less stinky, and less costly!
to me, any type of diaper pail is like yourself taking a crap in the same bucket over and over again, and cleaning it when it gets full. doesn't make any sense to me. :)

We use the Diaper Champ. I like it because we can use our regular garbage bags and not buy anything special. I do have a problem with odor though, I add Baking Soda to help suppress the smell.

I agree with Emily on using the stretchy odor absorbing 13 gal trash bags with the Diaper Champ. We do periodically bleach the can to get out any lingering odors though. Anything that can keep up with two toddlers in diapers is a winner in my book!

The Diaper Champ by Baby Trend! I had one, my best friend had one and I just bought one for my little sister who is due in 3 weeks. They are farely inexpensive (around $35) super easy to use and best of all, they take regular 13 gal kitchen bags!!! I used the strechy odor absorbing ones and you wouldn't never have known there were dirty diapers in the house. I highly recommend it to everyone I know who's having a baby.

I had a diaper Genie and didn't like it, it was hard to use. I just tyed up the dirty diapers in a plastic bag a threw it away in the tras can. We had a small trash can with a lid, I think that was very useful and alot easier to use than a diaper Genie and cheaper.

my husband had one of those diaper genie things for his first son and he didnt like it so we decided its easier to just keep our grocery bags by the trash can and put the dirty diaper in the bag tie it and throw it in the regular trash and thats only when he poops, pee diapers we just throw in the trash we just take out the trash every other day and you cant smell it in our house

My kids are 20 and 16 but I used the diaper genie which was brand spaken new at the time. I thought it was the coolest thing and I would use it again if I had a little one.

NONE, they all stink. They are hard to use, the bags are expensive and they are wasteful. I just get the scented diaper bags and use those. I hated my diaper pail, but to be honest I can't remember which one it was.

I've never used any other but we've had a Diaper Genie II since my daughters birth (she's 28 months now so only 1 diaper at night these days) and will continue to use it for the new baby coming in June. We've never had any problems with it.
