Did any of you try natural gender methods to conceive a girl or a boy??

Hi, My name is Breana Im new to this site. I was wondering did any of you try any natural gender methods that you think worked for u to conceive a boy or girl? I will be trying to have another baby sometime next year. I will be trying the Dr Shettles method for a girl, but will also be happy if i have a boy I just want to try it for fun more than anything. I know all that really matters is a healthy baby, but also was very curious to know if any methods worked in your favor, no rude comments please.... thanx:)

I followed the Dr Shettles method to have a boy ( I had 2 daughters already) and it worked. And also after reading the book it made sense that I had 2 girls! Really read the book carefully. Some of the other posts are partially right but not totally. Have fun and good luck. You're right, a healthy baby is the MOST important outcome but if you can tip the scales a little and have fun doing it then why not?

THANK YOU for adding this comment into your thread! Nothing upsets me more when a mother who is TTC is so hell-bent on a specific gender without realizing the bigger issue. All the very best for you in 2011 for a girl, but more importantly, a healthy baby!

Ahahaha, just looked up Dr. Shettles method...I guess it worked for us without us knowing it! lol

This was not intentional and I only found out AFTER the fact that some people use it as a method to try to conceive a certain gender, I've never researched it, so you may want to. I had a little girl in '09 and twin girls due in February, both times we had sex the day or night before I ovulated. It just worked out that way for us. I was told (by many family members and when asked my doctor said it was true as well) that the sperm that determines a male are very fast swimmers, but die rather quickly. The sperm that determine a female are slower swimmers, but live longer. So, the way I have perceived it, if you have sex only as, or just after you ovulate, the male sperm will get there first and have a better chance of producing a male, if you have sex before you ovulate, the male sperm will still get there first, but the female sperm is more likely to still be alive by the time the egg comes down, raising your chances for a girl. Does that make sense? IDK if it's true or not, but I guess it worked for us! lol ;)
