I am so worried, 2 weeks ago I had to go in for a chest x-ray and had a chest ct-scan, I found out yesterday that I am pregnant, they didnt not cover my stomach or anything. I have no idea how far along I am probably only 3 or 4 weeks along, but what are the risk to the baby? I am so worried. Does anyone have any advice?

I was in the room with my son while he was having ct scans and MRI done. I also found out a few weeks later that I was pregnant with my daughter - she's MORE than fine. Let your doctor know about what happened when you see him / her, but don't freak yourself out over it.

I had xrays done when I was pregnant and had the swine flu. I had a ct-scan and chest x-rays as well. Though I did have my stomach covered. I would call your hospital and if you are really worried, go to your doctor or the hospital and they will check it out for you. They will check the baby's heart rate and vital signs. Trust me, you can never be too overprotective while you're pregnant.

there is no harm in calling the hospital to double check the risks. They will be best to give you an accurate answer on this one!! Good luck
