I have been breastfeeding my 8month old since birth and just tried to give him formula for the first time. I tried it to be curious and it is disgusting!! Breastmilk is delicious compared to this. I bought Enfamil A+ because it says it is the closest to breastmilk. Apparently they don't mean by taste. Can anyone offer me some help here?

I've never been brave enough to taste any kind of formula, however with my little guy, we went through several different brands of formula before we found one that he would actually drink. He liked the regular Enfamil (in the yellow can) but the poor thing was getting constipated and we had to switch, and we kept switching until we found the right one. I would just get a small can to try out and that way you won't be out of much money or wasting a bunch of formula. Another thing you could try is getting a breast pump that way you're for sure not out of any money. Formula is expensive!

after doing some research online it sounds like similac tastes better, i'm gonna go out and get a small can to give it a try.

They smell disgusting, my 4 month old does a mix of breast milk and formula because I have a low milk production. However she will only eat the Similac (Advanced or soy formulas) ready to go kind, the water based one she spits out.

My daughter also uses Similac Advance. They also claim to be closest to breatmilk. lol I havent tried it myself but she loves it!

They all taste disgusting!! But I use Similac Advance and my son loves it and i think it tastes better than the other ones.
