My Mom still calls ger Paige. Some of her Aunts call her PJ some of her friends call her P diddy. The kids at school call her by her real name Patyence (Sounds like Patiece) Jai. My husband calls our daughter Alyssa, who is a bit of a tomboy, Hotrod -- it makes her smile! Her greatgrandfather calls her Pete and Doorbell (mainly bc its a funny thing I do and I taught it to her - to ring the door bell until he acctually opens the door, which is a lot bc he is 73 and moves pretty slow!!) My mom calls her Sunshine bc she lights up her life and she always sings "You are my Sunshine" to her at naptime. Alyssa loves all of these, it will be neat to see witch ones last for her children to ask about!

That's funny cuz all my kids had mokey names related to the 1st letter of their name. My son Shaun was Monkey Shines, my son David was Monkey Doodle and my daughter Lisa was Monkey Loo. They are all in their 20's and 30's now but my son David just gave me a Mother's Day card with a monkey theme!

My newest is often called Chulita, Toodalina or Doll baby. My son was another made up name like Cuchamunga or Cuchamarulasnoo. Apparently, I like mixing sounds together to call my children. Now the 3 year old is sometimes called Toodalino, which I guess would be the masculine form of the nickname. :)

He is not a baby anymore, but when my son Jacob was born we started calling him "cub" and still do even though he is 8. I wonder how long that will last.

Yes I have always called him turtle, even in the womb. My 3-D ultrasound showed me exactly how he looked and he favored a really cute snapping turtle lol. I also call him Mommy Man.

[deleted account]

My Chloe was Angel Face, Chlo-bug and Chloe-Lizzie as a baby-- now we laughingly call her all the names that people wrongly pronounce her name as: Cleo, Chlo (with the "Ch" sounding like church) and we also call her "La-Clo". Braden has been Happy, Buddy and Brady from the beginning. My last, and feistiest, is Rylee who as a toddler got into EVERYTHING! We called Rylee-ruins! As a baby, she was also called 'SASSY' which was an acronym for "Stinky A** Syndrome" 'cause that girl's bum could stink!!!! :) She is also known as Sweet-Pea in our house.

We even have our pediatrician calling him pork chop LOL. My daughter is "Baby Girl".

My youngest sons nickname is JJ Squarepants. His real name is Jared. JJ is his nickname, and when her was really little, he would run into the room when Spongebob came on and he would try to sing it, so I called him JJ Squarepants.

My youngest daughter who is 19 now was given the nickname catfish by her dad. All his buddies would call her that. She didn't mind it because now she has it tatooed on her wrist underneath.

we had all kinds of names; some stick today, although at 33 years old , our youngest son does not want them shared in company; for example "Grand Pooba", time to "Cooch", "Pussell" they'd die if they saw this, but I could not resist the secret share! sandi

Quoting Emma:

no. i call my daughter by her name.. if i wanted to call her a cutsie name i would have put it on her birth certificate.. i dont want to confuse her and not have her understand her real name.

My mom's friend liked to call me Sassy Cassy for obvious reasons and my little brother was Rust Bucket because he slobbered a lot. I called him slobberpuss. I called him that because the octopus lives in the ocean so they are in the water a lot I don't really know, but it had something to do with that. I was little reasoning wasn't my thing.
