I find myself talking more and more to myself because apparently my kids have all gone deaf haha they have what I believe is called "selective hearing" they also tend to walk away in stores and I turn to look towards them while talking, only to discover they're not there any more. (my kids are older) so along with talking to myself at home, the rest of the world believes I'm a crazy person who talks to myself out in public as well, I can thank my kids for that.

It's okay, I do the same thing myself. A lot! ...Just don't answer back to yourself. What we're doing is actually talking it out loud whatever we have in mind. It just gives you a better perspective .

Hi Gina, I agree with you, and that's what I do most of the time, I do try hard not to answer myself though...lol .............it's hilarious !!
Quoting Gina:
Dear Gloria: I have been talking to myself for absolute years, when you start answering yourself than it is time to get a bit of a reality check, lol. Seriously though, talking with oneself gives you a bit of insight as to what you are really thinking. Take care and remember that you are never lonely if you have yourself to talk too.

Karen, while reading your responce.........I was just a Giggling, ur hubby's somethin else...LAUGH OUT LOUD :)!!!!!!!!
Quoting Karen:
I can honestly say I don't... but my husband does and I crack up laughing at him cuz he talks with his hands!!! We will be driving down the road and he'll shrug his shoulders or flip his hand like he's talking with it. But the best was the other day... we snuck out for a ride on our Harley to the beach and the entire 45 min. ride there he must have been having quite the conversation with himself cause he was shrugging, etc. the entire time... and I was on the back of the bike giggling my butt off!!!

What this world needs is to not only the talking with oneself, but also dance and sing like there is nobody there. Life is to short to worry about the small stuff and have yourselves a great day. from me to you.

yes, absolutely as matter of fact,i am here getting ready for work and besides praying,i am talking to myself about all the things and people in my life,..the things i would like to accomplish,etc..,
i truly beieve that this is a very good habit..for me,it actually helps to solve and give answers to whatever is bothering you or on your mind.
sometimes,you find yourself answering yourself.

I've always heard that talking to yourself is good, answering yourself is too but when you say, "Huh?" - that's bad! ;-)
I lost an arguement with myself just this morning because I couldn't understand myself properly. Should I be worried? ;-)

HAHAHA...of course!!!! I usually don't see very many people...I usually clean better when I have something to vent about, either an argument or what I would like to say to other people. You know what is even worse...when you run out of things to say! :)

I think everyone talks to themselves. I just have a little advice though. It's ok to talk to yourself. Ask a question and answer it. Just make sure you don't say huh! lol...I talk to myself all the time. I think it might be one of the many things that keeps me sane.

Talking to yourself is normal.
Arguing with yourself is borderline.
When you lose the argument, start worrying!
