My son is 2 1/2 and loves the "Cars" gummy vitamins. We started them when he turned 2.

My son is 21/2 and takes an iron supplement (this was on doctors advice) and he also now takes one with hops, chamomile, calcium ect. to promote calmness. It has worked wonders, I didnt want to give him meds so the vitamins were my last option, they just help him to relax so he can sit down for a meal and rest when he is tired. We have also just started him on fish oil too because he is allergic to fish and he's a growing boy who needs omega 3.

I was taught in nursing school and also told by our pediatrician not to give a vitamin to a child unless they have a need for it. It is very easy to overdose a child, and not all the items in a daily vitamin are water soluble, meaning they may overdose on the fat soluble vitamins very easily if they don't have a need for them. When we were concerned about nutrition of our children, we had labs done. One child needed Vitamin D supplements from her mother not feeding her regularly or enough; she needed just over 4,000IU/day for 6 months (20x the "normal" daily dose required by an infant). All our other children have been fine without any.

This is a vitamin company's page, warning that even TWO child vitamins can cause overdose. http://www.glyconutritionforlife.org/Chi...

Also, a common sense guide for child nutrition.

Yes I do. I have been giving my children vitamins since they were about a month old.

Now that they are 4 years old, 20 months and 10 weeks I give the two older boys Flinstone vit.

My son is 3 and loves L'il Critters Gummy Vites. I buy a huge bottle at Costco which saves me a lot of money. I have also tried the Flintstones vitamins but end up spending more money on them and he doesn't like the taste as much.

Hi Valentina, I have a 3 month old and I do give him multivitamins. The doctor recommended it because he was breast feeding. The vitamins are called Enfamil Tri Vi Sol. These vitamins are for infants though. If your kids are older you can give them the Flinstone Vitamins. Those are great. Kids love them.
