I am a "mother of a 24 year old young man serving in the Navy and a 23 year old young man married with a 3 1/2 year old son. I will be 46 on Friday. Both have said I was cool since I can remember to me in front of their friends to this day come to me for advice. Not that I am permissive in the least, but my theory has been if they come to me with a problem I don't "Freak Out" I Take a deep breath say an internal prayer and say OK, we can't change what happened but what are our choices from here we then have a calm talk; and then depending on the situation someone or we go to Dad and say this is what happened and we've been able to do this or what do you think etc. This is just a sample of my personal thoughts. but even if it's not ME, wouldn't it be cool to have a "Ask Grammie" area" If this is my last suggestion, go get the what to expect when expecting, during the first year and during the Toddler years this will answer most of your questions. 8-)
