I got my daughter (13) one of the cloth storage basket and I am putting colored sharpies, a Justin Bieber poster, a "Team Jacob" tshirt and then some of her favorite candy. The Sharpies are so she can decorate the storage bin the way she wants and then use it in her room. I spent like $20 for the whole thing @ Walmart and it is all stuff she loves better than paying $25 for a premade Easter basket that she might only like 1/2 the candy and the other stuff would get tossed in a corner in her room or something. My 17 yr old niece even wants one but instead of the poster my sister is getting her a book she likes.

Actually, I have three young adults and I still do Easter Baskets for each of them. The contents are obviously different but it gives me an opportunity to share my faith with them. I usually get them a gift card because they like to purchase things on their own, with something useful (fun t-shirt) and then something spiritual. I have two boys so I always put some food in the basket as well. It is fun for me and they still enjoy it. We sometimes use bags instead of baskets but I still have their baskets and use them sometimes. Their ages are 18, 21 and 22.

everyone has great ideas, my kids love to dye eggs they are all now well into their teens and we get each a dozen eggs and a few different kinds of dyes, each of them do their eggs and i stay in the other room, I judge the eggs, most colorful, beautiful, ugly, funniest ,creative, ect.i make them up as i go along looking at the eggs, then I try to guess who made what egg, ther are no prised of awards but they love to watch me struggle with trying to pick out who did what egg. I usauly make them each a gift bag with their easter favorites. I still enjoy making baskets, I hate the mess of the grass so I go to target and get a cute felt bag or container in their dollar section and make one for each kid. your never to old to collor eggs, and it brings the family together.

Chocolate bunny then items of what they each like-makeup, hair accesories, itune cards, gas cards, etc.. The Easter Bunny has always made his baskets personalized for the kids at my house-a chocolate bunny and some things that are fun and unique to each child. Good Luck and Have Fun!

My children are young but i thought i'd let you know what i do now.... They don't get much chocolate at all from us as i know their grandparents will spoil them rotten. so instead they get 1 bunny and a couple of the tiny solid eggs and then they get PJ's and some really nice new clothes. and i hope that this will work for them as they get older.

I always gave gift cards for movies, gas, favorite store gift card. I also made a gift tree made from a small branch from a tree put in clay pot with plaster of paris and dirt over it hang easter eggs with earrings, in it lip balm, necklace, barretts, ponytail scrunchy, dollar bills, memory card, key chain, etc. but you have to have at least one filed with Hersey kisses and one that has a paper with "Filled with love".

How about a live bunny!! I have always wanted to do that for my 16 yr old daughter, I just need my husbands approval :) Just think the girls would go nuts on Easter morning if u had bunnies for them. What fun!! If u allow your older daughter to wear makeup then u could buy some fun makeup or earrings, my daughter loves those things.

Kids will never outgrow Easter Baskets as long as you keep them age appropriate. There are lots of excellent ideas on this post. I still give my son (18) a basket filled with essentials (razors, shaving cream, cologne, and lots of peeps, chocolate and small dollar gift cards. For my niece, I make her a basket filled with lotions, perfumes, practical costume jewelry, gift cards and candy...kids never outgrow candy. Hint: use plastic eggs for small candy and jewelry. Of course, they all get a box of confetti eggs as well that are a hit at any age.

I get my kids beach/pool stuff for Easter each year. Bathing suits, Cool beach towels, flip flops and other beach or pool accessories. It's always a big hit. They are 17 and 21 (girl and boy consecutively) and they still like getting their summer gear for Easter

You can make a fun basket out of a plastic container (not an easter print.. just a fun color) that would hold hair accessories, a scarf, t-shirt, some colorful pens/markers, post-its, a little candy, I've also used the plastic eggs and put money in them. (usually change and singles). School age kids always need school supply type things. Have fun...

hey girl congrats on ur girls. i too have 3 n their ages r 20, 18, n 9. for your oldest my suggestion would be a basket with some mags like cosmo, 17 etc. or makeup n stuff. appel to her interest maybe a new pair of shoes she has been eyeing. for you thirteen they r a little more difficult because they change from one idea to the next. she wants to feel like she is to grown up for this sort of thing but we all like to be pampered. u can try maybe a c.d. or a movie, but only u can figure out on that one. the younger two will appreciate anything u would give them. my girls always liked things that u could do outdoors at that age. bubbles, water toys, etc.

Meghan, for your 18 month old you could get Goldfish crackers in individual boxes or packs that can fit into a larger easter egg, stickers, little stuffed animals without the button eyes that are a choking hazard, temporary tatoos, bath toys, animal crackers, maybe some semi-sweet chocolate morsels if that won't get too messy for you, Smarties candy, fruit chews, etc. I am a mom who continues our family Easter traditions with my 15 and 10 year old and put all their "goodies" in their original Easter baskets from age 1. Happy Easter!

when we where younger my mom bought us a new disney movie, a stuffy and loads of chocolate every easter, then when we got older we got cd's instead of the movie. I am 23 and my mom still buys me all the chocolate (even though I don't really eat it, I use it for baking) and she still buys me a stuff lol. I love Easter and I love that my mom still follows our traditions! I think the other mom's idea's on gift cards is a GREAT idea. Now if anyone has any suggestions on what to get an 18 month old...lol

My daughter is 10 and still enjoys Peeps and a chocolate bunny :) But the Easter Bunny now brings her and her older brother a dvd or video game. Nail polish in fun colors is always a hit, and if the bottles are small enough they may be placed inside plastic eggs. "Funky socks" are also another favorite...either toe socks, or something with a crazy pattern.

Have you ever thought of just getting gift cards for a popular store that they like to shop at? Or maybe Itunes cards or even IPODS if they don't have any. You can find a lot of used but in great condition electronics on craigslist. IPOD shuffles are also pretty low priced brand new.
