I had my daughter about 4 and a half months ago, I was lucky after I had her the weight just fell off and I was back in my pre-pregnancy clothes in a matter of weeks but I am left with a wobbly mummy tummy. I have tried everything I can think of to try to tone it up abit. I don't expect miracles but if anybody knows any secrets please share!!

I'm trying the postpartum girdle...the garment is designed to smooth the appearance of the lower abdomen after child birth. It's recommended to use for reducing the stomach and post surgical periods. Benefits: Lifts the lower stomach, Lifts and restores internal female organs to original position, helps reduce waistline, helps reduce flaccidity due to belly flap....I've tried this companies other products they've been working but I want to work on below my belly button now, i've had three c-sections just loose. This garment does what Emma Morley's great aunt said for you and helps you get back to the point that you REMEMBER to do what Carolyn Suman mentioned. Lauren I'm going to send you an email message on where to purchase the garment. I hope it helps you...

Remember to do your pelvic floor exercises, not just for the appearance sake but your muscles go through alot having a baby and they really need the strengthening afterwards. I found it hard to lose the "jelly belly" after my kids too but here are some tips I've been given that helped. For general weight loss- chew your food well. I know it sounds silly, but when you chew it makes you produce saliva which assists in digestion. Also it takes awhile for messages to get from your stomach to brain that you are full, so we tend to over-eat more when we eat fast!

To strengthen you core muscles, try to remind yourself to hold your stomach in and good posture.

I hope this helps but in the meantime, as Lauren said, They are the result of the beautifull life you brought into this world, wear them with honour!

After my first I bounced right back. My 2nd son is now 12 months and I am trying to get rid of it. Try crunches.. it will tighten your tummy =]

Remember Lauren if that extra tummy is due to stretching you have to give your muscles time to heal. Also its going to take your skin time to heal too. Exercise is great but like you said it can't work miracles. Nothing really is the size or shape it was before you had your baby but it should go back! Walking with my babies was my toning exercise of choice.

I love your view on it Lauren!! I wear my mommy scars with pride too!

I had my daughter 18 months ago :) and although like you, i lost the baby weight pretty quickly, i still have the baby bum bag lol. i've given up trying to lose it. the way i look at it now is... it came from the most beautiful miracle in the world and im proud of it. i eat healthy, and excersize. I just think some mums are prone to keep it, some are prone to lose it. :( ha ha
