same here..i had it the last few weeks of pregnancy bc my belly was stretched sooo huge!! i would wake up in the middle of the night scratching. i used gold bond on my belly at night. seemed to work for most of the night. i usually had to reapply it in the middle of the night on one of my many bathroom breaks!!

I have 4 weeks to go too and I'm itching around my belly button because I'm carrying totally out front. I know it's the skin stretching so I'm trying not to itch and putting cream on which helps to prevent stretch marks. As long as it's not terrible and there's no rash I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes, Mother's Friend lotion or Palmer's works great and helps with stretch marks too.

My skin is slightly itchy, but I am trying not to itch because I was told that it could be a sign of the skin being stretched and can cause stretch marks. I have been using a ton of lotion and I don't itch at all anymore.

oh lucky you. hopefully you don't have it as bad as i did. i developed this 2 months before i had haley and it was all over my belly and left leg and it left huge red patches and i was so miserable from itching that i would cry. nothing worked for me they put me on two med pacs. finally i went into labor but cuz i was so itchy i wouldn't dialate and i told them they would have to induce me and they said we dont induct at 38 weeks, and i said no, your going to have to. and then finally they did. as soon as she was born it went away!

Yes mine was very itchy but it can also be a medical problem too so I would ask your doctor about it but most likely it is just from the skin being stretched.

I found that itchy skin during my pregnancies was caused by low iron levels as well as skin stretching. Try a product called Bio Oil it is the best thing for your growing belly and perfect to massage the baby after bath times. Good luck

Yes, and apparently it is due to the skin stretching! sometimes creams that you use to avoid stretch marks ect can ease it a bit too (this is my third pregnancy and all three times i have had this problem!!
