Does anyone have a good trick for getting the yellow stain of Mother's Milk Baby Poop out of clothes?

My DD Abby blows out her diaper about once a week and so many of her clothes now have a big yellow stain. I have tried Spray-n-Wash and Shout, but neither get the stain all the way out. I would like to hand down her clothes to the next girl baby in the family

I treat as quickly as possible. If I don't get it right away I use both Shout and OxyClean spray together. Sometimes I just have to wash several times in a row to get the stain to come out. Never put it in the dryer until you get the stain out to your satisfaction or it'll be set for life.

Thanks for all the help!!! I got some Oxy-Clean and it seems to work really well...even stains that went through the dryer are better! If it were warmer here I'd hang the clothes to dry in the sun, but I am afraid they'd freeze before they dry...maybe I can try it this summer.

thanks Moms!

There is some stuff you can get at Dollar Generals (possibly other dollar stores, I dunno)..it's called M30..comes in a plastic container and I paid like $3 for it..it's supposed to get just about any stain out, including blood even. This has worked for us. it's great stuff :)

DAWN Dishwashing Soap. "It gets the grease out" It is awesome at get the slimey poop stains out. It even works on clothes that have already gone through the dryer. All I do it put some Dawn on the stain and let it sit until I find time to get back to it, then I scrub and I have never had anything baby related not come out. I have a mini-bottle of Dawn in my daughters room for when I see a spot. They go in a different spot then when I have enough clothes, I scrub them all at once. I also put oxy-clean in the wash just incase I missed something.

It may sound funny, but use Avon Bubble Bath. Just work a some on the stain and throw in the wash. This works on most everything!!

I also used oxyclean. My little one had blow outs several times a week and even messed her carseat up twice. You can't tell it now. I would mix oxyclean stain remover in a small cup of hot water and rub it into the stain with a old tooth brush. I would then wash and repeat if needed. Good luck, it also helps if you take care of the stain right away and don't let it sit. Also, don't dry the garment until the stain is gone. Hope this helps. :)

"Totally Toddler" baby spray works well. It's a pre-wash spray designed to get out poop and spit-up. You can buy it at Babies R Us.

The 'Dual Power' Spray'n Wash seems to work good for me. It has gotten stains out of clothes that I thought were trash. I hope this works for you. I know I tried the regular stuff and it didn't even touch the stain.

Bi-O-Kleen's BAC OUT is the best ever. It is also very natural / non-toxic and smells wonderful, like lime. We have cloth diapered for 18 months and NONE have stains.

Wow - lots of different things you can try! The best stain remover trick I used when my kids were young was biz. I'd soak burp rags in cold water with a big scoop of biz and it worked great. I don't know if it would work on a breast fed blow out, but since Biz was not added to your tool box here I thought I would chime in!

OXI-CLEAN is a life saver...you can either soak the garments in it or make a paste and work it into the stain...I have removed many a stains with this stuff...even ones that have been washed and sent through the dryer multiple times. Good Luck!

I swear by OxyClean! I spray the stain and then dump it in the wash. It almost ALWAYS comes out.

WD 40 gets out any stain. Spray it on and let it sit for a couple hours and then wash it twice and you will be good to go.

My two favorite things to use are dish soap...just put a little on the stain and work into a lather, you should see results almost immediately. If that doesn't work I also use oxy clean. Hope this helps....

I used to soak my kids clothes in oxy clean overnight. I had a dish pan with hot water and a big scoop of oxy clean. Even in a couple hours the water gets cold but let it sit over night. Then wring it out. let it dry and when your ready to do laundry, throw it in !!
My daughter stained everything as a baby and this always worked for me :o) Good Luck

My mom always hung the baby cloths in the sun and it would bleach the stain out naturally!

A detergent called "Amaze" works well. It's a powder and works best if you soak the clothes in it in hot water for a while before you wash them. Hope it works for you!
