Does anyone have recommendations on a double stroller?

I currently have an 18month old and am due to have a second baby in 3 months. Most comments I read on strollers say the second seat isn't big enough, or the whole unit is too heavy. Does anyone out there have a double stoller they love?

I love my Phil & Ted's Classic. It's way lighter than my Graco was, folds down small, can fit big kids (I was talking to a Dad with one yesterday who had a 4 year old in the rear seat w/ an infant carrier on the front), it has good sized rubber wheels and it is super maneuverable. My neighbors have a 5 year old with autism and a 26 month old and they are still able to use it for both the kids. It's actually the second one they've bought after the first was stolen (so they love it). When I was thinking about getting one, I talked to lots of people who had them, and no one was unhappy with them.

And congratulations on your upcoming arrival!

They now make double jogging strollers with the seats one on front of the other that seemed good, I used a sit and stand and liked it, but my 4 yr old boggs it down quite a bit

I have a Joovey (sp?) sit and stand, It's okey, but I'd buy something with bigger wheels if I had to do it again. My kids are big, so it's hard to steer. Get anything with LARGE wheels that all turn freely. For smaller kids it may work better, but anything double is going to be heavy and difficult to lift in and out of the car. Good luck, and I hope you find a good one!

I loved my sit and stand, it wasnt too much bigger than a single stroller, had a strap to secure in the older child, but, can grow with both kids as they get older and dont want to sit anymore - they can stand and you can keep moving - it was great... very versitile. My kids are 2 years apart and I used mine until my youngest was nearly 2. So i got 2 years out of it...

Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller-$249-- voted one of the best for 2009. I actually saw this one at the mall and the kids in it were happily playing together. It just looked so sturdy. The father pushing it around (between the stacks of Children's Place) didn't seem to be struggling at all. We have a Stokke and absolutely LOVE it. I was considering keeping #2 (due in June) in a sling till #1 (now 10mths) is willing to walk everywhere (not likely or practical), untill I saw this one. I read up on it on amazon and got RAVE reviews there as well.
