I used to buy my boys and girls cloth from a chinese-run online mall. It is very cheap and the quality can meet my demands.shipping fee is on sellers' account not our buyers account.U can visit this online mall which supplys a wide range of things for baby,kid ,children ,maternity and pet. the website is www.tauramall.com. Try JCPenny's or Sears. Good prices, good quality and in-style for pre-teen's. My son is also on the heavier side for his age (12 soon to be 13). I've shopped at these two stores for several years now. They've never dissapointed!

Thanks Maria, I did actually go to Primark yesterday and think I may have(finally) found a waist and leg combination that fit..problem is, not all trousers come in all combinations so it was a case of searching through the various styles in the hope of hitting gold! His combination was also only found in jeans and not smarter (or black trousers he could use for school) trousers, but hopefully it's just a case of going back every so often and searching a little more!

Hi my boys are big chaps onewastalland skinny the other wastall and chubby at the age of 12 they werenearky 6 foot I found primark mens dept and burtons at the time good places to get clothes hope this helps maria

My son is 12 and in the same boat. I shop in the mens department for him. There are much more options for pants as far as size combinations. The shirts are longer too which he likes because of his thicker middle.

Wow I am thankful in this instance I live in the US. Virtually every store here carries slim, normal and husky sizes it is pretty routine. Also almost every store carries petite and big & tall sizes.

Big & Tall stores carry a line by George Foreman. My hubby is above normal sizes and cannot find clothes easily. Me, on the other hand, at 4 feet 10 cannot find clothes that fit me, either. Petite specialty shops costs 10 X the regular price.

My son is the same way. He is seven and weighs 101. The only place that I could find pants is at american eagle. And I buy 26/28 slim fit, and they fit him perfect.

anything you can get that says husky is always helpfull. I have a thick one and and skinny one so I understand. I am not sure however what size they stop making husky clothes. I got to the point the last couple years to just have him in sporty pants for school most from old navy. The regular pants from old navy don't fit well, but the warm up type pants do well.

Thanks Annabel and Sue, I will certainly have a look in BHS and M & S. I agree about how hard it is to get slim fit, my middle son is the total opposite to my youngest in that he is much skinnier than the 'norm' and I battle to find the right leg length (he is tall!) with a small waist..there's a definite gap in the market in the UK for stockists that specialise in 'non-standard' body shapes!

If you are from the UK I have found that Marks and Spencer have started selling more trousers with elasticated waists for older boys may that be of use.

To be honest, the cheaper end of the market comes up pretty big these days, with Gap, BHS (2 I spotted today) having ranges for larger waisted children. Its far harder to get slim (or normal to be honest) sized clothes these days with the waists so huge (those gathering in things only work to bring it in an inch or so before the gathers look stupid)

Wow, I'm learning about all sorts of stores and brands I never knew existed! Just such a shame there seems to be no equivalent of Husky/Lands End/Penneys etc that sell Husky sizes in the UK, I'm guessing if I order from the States, postage will be a tad high? Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated!

Yup was just coming to tell you to get Husky sizes. That is what we needed to do with my oldest. They sell them virtually anywhere now, even Walmart.

I googled husky sizes for boys and there are a number of retailers that carry extended sizes online. JcPenny, Sears, Walmart, Old Navy, Gymboree, Aeropostale, Gap Kids, Dickies, Levi's, Land's End, and that was just on the first two pages of the search so I'm sure there are many others too.
