My 6 month old son loves to watch the television, especially shows on PlayHouse Disney and it is amazing but he actually pays attention. I was just wondering does anyone elses baby do this and is this a bad thing?

My first born would watch tv like she was in amazement for hours, and it was good for me because I could put her in her swing in front of the tv and get stuff done around the house. Try to make sure that they are just watching educational programs, though.

I had to yell at my husband because he would park the bouncy chair in front of the TV and it would be on whatever channel he was watching last, so it would be some crime drama. Now if he isn't in the room, the TV is off, and unless the kids are in bed it can only be on noggin or other family friendly shows. Now stuff actually gets done in the house!

My 5 month baby loves the treehouse channel. He's been watching it for the last few months. I'm pretty sure its just the bright colours he's staring at. he also loves listening to baby motzart music also.

my daughter is two months old and alot of time if i can't get her to calm down i will sit down in front of the tv and she is mesmerized by it. hopefully when she gets older she will choose not to watch alot of tv. she really loves music channels.

my baby is 5 months and has been watching the baby channel for a couple months now. so long as you don't leave him in front of the tv for hours your fine.
