NOT TRUE. Your baby should keep moving the whole time. if you research it or talk to your dr about it, they will tell you as soon as the baby stops moving to get straight to the hospital and that its an old wives tale that babies stop moving for the birth. My dr nearly had a heart attack when this was brought up.

During labour the baby with still move unless it is sleeping or in distress. During contractions they want move but in between them they should. My son was constantly kicking me even as he was coming out. His head was out and he gave me one final boot then he was all the way out. Every pregnancy is different but if your baby doesn't move make sure you speak to the midwife or doctor and have at least a doppler done to check the baby's heart beat. If that is fine your baby will be. GOOD LUCK

Deffinately the baby is still moving...if not kicking around, trying to get into the correct birthing position. Good luck!

Mine (each one!) kicked a ton between contractions. You could tell they were mad by being squished! I had C-Sections for all of them, but went into labor regardless from a full day for my first, 17 weeks for my second, and 1 week for my third.
