Does the CIO method work for preemies??

So, my preemie is 11mths, ( 7 mths corrected) I've started sleep training, and its a complete nightmare. It's killing me. Does this method work with preemies???

My son is a preemie. They have a whole different set of rules. It is quite possible that sleep training will not work for them. I never tried sleep training but my son slept throught the night for the first time around 15 months (12 adjusted). If it's that hard on you then might I suggest trying a different method or holding off until he's a little older.
