Does the IUD make you gain weight?

I have an IUD put in 6 weeks after my son was born. Since it was put in I have gained a lot of weight. Is that what it is? If so if I have it removed will the weight come off quickly?

I had the IUD put in 6 weeks as well but I didnt gain weight with it(I was told weight gain is a side effect). I still had a few pounds to shed after baby and it did seem to make it harder. Mine is still in so I dont know if you will lose weight when it is out.
