my 2 1/2 year old daughter speaks fluently in her own lingo, is going to speach therapy and is starting to use words.

oh no im her birth mom but its up to her her adoptive family isnt going to just make her call me by my name if she wants to call me mom or stevie its up to her so im just waiting when she is older and understands more and all that im just happy right now with her saying i love you to me and knowing who i am i remember around when she was one she didnt not like me but she didnt know me you know the whole ansitey and stuff i hope that she will call me mom one day but im not going to force her to i want her to realise that i love her more than anything in the world and im still in everything i can be in her life and if that means the name mom comes along with it me and her adoptive mom love sharing her :)

My daughter used to call her elbow her "elmo" It's ok to make up your own words/sounds just make sure it doesn't follow them until they're 6!!! LOL

Now she's four and:

Downtown Detroit=Down down Detroit



The movie is called JOHNNY and the meatball, not Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

im no doctor or speech therapist but i no alot of kids that do so i'd say its pretty common my nephew says nice cream -ice cream and his sisters name is kayleigh and he used 2 call her lar lar till just recently i think its cute

How old is your daughter? Are you going to teach you to call you mom or just let her call you by your name? My neighbor's son call him by his name instead of dad, and he was not addopted and he is 5 1/2 years old.

haha i think every child doesn my son still doesnt say many words other than mommy and dada and lately its all dadda lol but he is babaling more like i swear he said giggle eariler lol his babaling is sounding more and more like words everyday but i know my daughter cant really say her s's that great so she will say tevie for my name...(she got adopted after she was born thats why she doesnt say mom)
