I used it because I got a free box at a baby shower after it was gone I never used it again. I now make all my own laundry detergent and my kids and I never had a reaction to it. It is simple to make and free of all dye and perfumes. I think Dreft is fine if your baby has problems with regular detergent but now I'll never buy detergent again since I make my own and it costs pennies per load. Take care.

I've never used Dreft we use All free and clear. I have never had a problem with it and the kids. I would use liquid though because it does wash out of the clothes better.

I never used Dreft. The Dr told me to use liquid detergent because it rinses better. If the child doesn't have allergies its fine. Moms have enough work you don't need an unnecessary one.

According to my children's doctor, it's absolutely fine to use something besides Dreft as long as it's free from perfume and dyes... I missed the smell of Dreft, though, when I switched detergents after my son was 18 mos, then again with my daughter at around 11 mos. Something about Dreft just reminds me of that yummy baby scent.

I also think Dreft is a rip off. I wash all my daughters clothes with our clothes and she does not have any problems at all.

The point of Dreft is to avoid added chemicals to stiffen clothes which can irate skin...just switch to Tide or Ivory Snow and just use a good softener or woolite to keep the clothes soft.

Personally, I think Dreft is a rip off. Use a soap that's free of dyes and perfumes. I use an organic laundry soap and she's never had a problem.

I only used it for a couple of months...I now use All Free and Clear. It's safe and gentle for baby, but I can use it on our clothes too, so we don't have to buy 2 different laundry soaps...

I never used Dreft. I always use Tide Free for all of our laundry, because my husband has sensitive skin, and my son inherited that. I also use the scent free dryer sheets.

It says on the bottle to use it til they are 2 i think. Dreft is expensive and i only used it til my daughter was 5 months old. if its the price your worried about then change to like ALL Free and Clear, Same concept less money.

If the baby has no allergies, you can quit anytime. It is up to you. I never used it for any of my children I always used wisk or tide with the baby clothes. Some children have allergies to green and blue soaps. Use the clear ones, or what ever you wash your own clothes in. For urine smells I used 20 Mule team borax half a cup per med load to neutralize odor.
