Early Gender Determination?

My cousin was definite it was a boy. They did scans and even did an amino and when bub arrived it was definitely a girl!

That's a hard one, you want to believe him because he is your MD, but I've always heard, "If they say it's a boy, it's a boy, but if they say it's a girl, it could be either." I know a few people who were expecting girls and got boys, but I do not know any who were expecting boys and got girls. Good luck

Does it really matter if the baby is a girl or a boy? .. Just as long as she/he is HEALTHY! Remember, yellow & green are beautiful colors to buy for the new " unknown " little one... Besides, children are a Gift and why take the fun & excitement out of the GrandOpening!!

I had an U/S at 13wks 6 days with my first and got told it was a boy and sure enough he was a boy. I would believe them they tend to know what they are doing and if you are still not sure you can always wait until the next major one at 18-20 wks and confirm it then. Still plenty of time to shop :)

I actually found out the sex of my soon at only 10 weeks shop it is possible but no u/s is ever 100% accurate and certainly not at 14 weeks!

I have had u/s technicians and doctors tell me that you can't be 100% sure until the baby is born. That being said I would still wait to be sure around the 20 week mark before doing much shopping or decorating.

And btw, congratulations. I wish you a safe and healthy pregnancy!

Sometimes they are wrong.

My daughter had two sons and wanted a girl the third time.

At the scan the radiographer said "it looks girlish". We were delighted. A later scan we were told it was another boy.

In due time she delivered a beautiful girl!!!

No doctor can say for 100% sure, unless, maybe they can see for sure on a 3D/4D U/S

Congrats! I'd say it was a pretty good chance it was a girl! I would probably wait to buy things unitl the 20th week ultrasound to confirm though.

The U/S are getting better and better with time i would believe him/her if i was you if anyone knows best it is your Dr. Congrats on the little Angel, i had 2 son and then 2 daughters awesome.

Thank you! And yes I did that with my boys but being so busy with them I'm 6 months along and haven't done much at all all the big stuff almost done decorating etc but its the little things I've over looked and forgot about lol,still have lots of clothes wash cloths wipes etc to buy and of course more Nappys you can never NEVER have to many Nappys even when you think you do that's when they decide to get diarreoh and you running I the store at 4:15 to buy as many Nappys as you can shove under your arm! Lol

Congratulations! I excited either way also. I didn't want to decorate and paint pink and have to re-do everything. I like to start early so at the end i can relax :)

Lol yes I was hoping for a girl this time around after already having the twin boys but I'm 6 months along with a happy healthy bouncing baby boy! Lol it doesn't matter I love him with all my heart and did from the moment I knew I was pregnant girl or boy I didn't mid as long as they were healthy!

I would believe him,they know what they are doing they aren't always right and can get it wrong there human.Maybe stick to buying gender natural colours (some extra pink) if it is a girl lol that way if its a unexpected little boy your pre pared also have a name for a boy just in case.



If it is a girl you can always run out and grab extra pink!!
