So I found out on Saturday that I'm pregnant with baby 2. Which was/is a big shock. We weren't planning on becoming pregnant until our son was 3 or 3.5... well he is only 18 months. Anyway, I had a blood test which showed I was pregnant and I had my normal yearly pap. When the doctor called she said that she thinks due to my "enlarged cervix" I could be 8 weeks. I had me period April 16th and is lasted 4 to 5 days as normal. So I don't know if 8 weeks is correct or not, yet.
I got home from work yesterday and I was spotting. There was only blood when I wiped. I was still scared and called the doctor. He said that unless I start bleeding worse, just try not to do to much and I don't have to go to the ER. Well after going outside and walking with my son, I started bleeding a little more, but not massive amounts more. So the rest of the night I took it easy. This morning, I'm bleeding like I have my period. When I called my OB office, I talked to a nurse. She seemed concerned, but not greatly, as she scheduled my appt. for this afternoon, she didn't have me rush in. Unfortunately I cannot make that appt. because my husband took the car seat and I don't have anybody to watch my son. So I called back and another nurse has me coming in at 8:35 tomorrow to get blood work, then an appt. 2 hours later. I'm just really nervous right now. I'm not really in any pain, however I have a dull pressure in my lower back and my thighs somewhat hurt. It sort of feels like when I was in labor with my son, just not painful. I had back labor with him and he was positioned behind the placenta the whole pregnancy. My sciatic nerve was acting up yesterday, which only happened during my last pregnancy at 15, 16 and 17 weeks. I do know all pregnancies are different.
With my son, I didn't know I was pregnant, went to the doctors for something else and they said I was pregnant. Come to find out when I got my ultrasound a month later I was 12 weeks 3 days, so when I found out, I was 8 weeks. I didn't have any symptoms with him nor did I have any complications/problems (except the nerve pain.) I conceived on Feb. 14th but I still had my period in March and then found out in April I was pregnant. So I had my period the first month after I was pregnant with him.
So what I'm thinking is maybe I'm not 8 weeks, I'm only like 4 weeks and I just found out I was pregnant super early, so this is just a "normal" period like I had with my son? I'm trying to be positive about it, but it's not really working. Especially knowing I have to wait until tomorrow to get checked. Is it a good thing that neither the doctor or either of the nurses were super worried?
I just need some support and/or advice. Thanks in advance.
