I took a test 5 days before my missed period. came up negative but i'm thinking i may have taken it to soon. do you think its to soon or should i wait a few more days and to take another one?

I got great results with the EPT digital tests that spell out pregnant or not pregnant. Since implantation can vary just retest in a couple of days.

I took one 6 days before my missed period and it was positive but it varies from person to person. I would wait a few more days and take another one.

From what I remember, those tests usually say it is possible to get results 4 or 5 days before your period is expected, but if it is negative, try again on the day you would expect your period.
