How does the Easter Bunny come to your house? Do you just give your kids Easter Eggs or have an egg hunt? Before or after breakfast? I'm just trying to clarify how we're going to do things now the kids are getting older. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

We have an Easter egg hunt for my boys. I make sure I do it after breakfast so they don't eat the eggs for brekkie!! When they have found them all, I get them to leave them inside and send them back out to check there are none left, and while they are outside, I divide them up evenly. We then use the same eggs when we visit my parents and in-laws so they don't get overloaded with chocolate (they are young, so they don't realise the are finding the same eggs). As they get older, I change the rules that they can only find eggs that are a certain colour, so they get the same amount.

well i'm from austria and the tradition here is to hide eggs and chocolate (but we do not give any other presents like games or stuff.. just eggs and chocolate bunnies).. kids go on an easter hunt before breakfast, because we eat the eggs at breakfast :D
have fun!

We have a scavenger hunt, childhood tradition that we are passing down.

We put out two peter rabbit chocolates (so their is one each-no fighting) and then put out a few marshmellow eggs and a few small hollow eggs.

We leave a trail of plastic eggs (filled with puzzle pieces for them to put together later) from their rooms to their baskets. They love following the trail picking up the eggs to find out what the puzzle is. This allows us time to cook breakfast!
