baby doesnt sleep in crib yet. must be rocked im jus wondering if anyone can give me some ideas as how to easy him to his crib so he can fall asleep on his own

All babies are different but what worked with my littlest one was rocking her until she was almost asleep, this is the key part, and then laying her in her crib and letting her hold on to my hand until she fell asleep. Then gradually I'd take my hand away sooner and sooner so that after a week or so she'd fall asleep without holding my hand but just by knowing I was in the room. Then after another week she would fall asleep while I just stood in the doorway. Two weeks after her first night in her crib she would put herself to sleep. I also read the Tracy Hogg books (I like the baby whisperer so much I bought the toddler wisperer too!). GET THEM!!!

Sorry i cant help u with this one both my children were in there cot by a month old, Once they were in there they slept throught the night only waking when they lost there dummy..

My son has been sleeping in his crib since he was a month old, he is a yr old now. When he was first born we'd have to rock him to sleep and then we'd set him in his bassinet, we did that for 3 weeks i think.. and then finally moved him into his own room, and his crib.. I would turn his womb bear on, and his bassinet had a vibrator on it so i would turn that on also and he would just fall asleep. On occasion i woul dhave to rock him to sleep, but mostly he put himself to sleep every night. Now idk if he is scared of the dark, but when i set him in his crib to go to sleep he screams bloody murder, i have to rock him most nights once his eyes get low, off to bed he goes[about 9p] and he'll sleep til between 9 and 11 in the morning!

IT'S NOT EASY FOR THE BABY TO FALL ASLEEP ON HIS OR HER OWN IN THERE CRIB AT THAT EARLY AGE.YOU HAVE TO ROCK THEM TO SLEEP FIRST AND THEN EASE THEM DOWN IN THERE CRIB. PUT A PACIFER IN THER MOUTH THEY ARE GOOD TO GO. THAT'S WHAT I DO FOR MY 10 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER! IT WORKS

We didn't really transition our Ana, meant to. She outgrew the bassinet what seems like overnight. At bedtime one night, my husband just put our 3 year old into his "big boy bed", made up the crib with new sheets and put her to sleep there. She's fine. Looks comfortable and relaxed all sprawled out in her new place. I found a book called "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer" full of helpful advice on things like this also. The author was Tracy Hogg. This is one of those things that is just going to take time. As your little guy's source of comfort and food, you're what he relies on to transition from sleeping to waking. My daughter is just shy of 2 and is only now starting to get to where she can conk out on her own at times.
