Sounds like hyper-emesis to me. Talk to the doctor about medications. I took Zofran, too and it saved my life! Well, maybe not literally, but it sure seemed like it! Good luck, kiddo. I know how much this sucks. :(

Hi, I have twins who are now 4 years old and this WILL pass, but I remember in the early stages of my pregnancy I had this constant feeling of nausea, almost anything seemed to trigger it off it lasted for 18 weeks and then went away.
I don't think it's a good idea to take drugs in pregnancy, prescription or otherwise, too little is known about long term side effects. I think the best thing you can do is take this opportunity to slow down and listen to your body, there will be things it can tolerate even if for a while it's toast and water. You will be able to eat again and you will gain weight, your babies will demand it, they need to grow. It is worth braving this out. Good luck.

I second the Zofran... I have been VERY sick for all 3 of my pregnancies... Also check out this site.. http://www.helpher.org/index.php . if you are vomiting everything you also need to see your Dr or MW

I figured out if I ate somthing and did not drink for about an hour after it helped. Then eat small amounts often. I was sick with all 3 of my pregnancies. The first I was on a med but then figured out with 2nd the trick and worked great.

I was sick for the first 14 weeks when I was pregnant with twins. After that I only got sick occasionally. The only thing that helped me was sugar - which I found out actually calms your stomach. I carried LifeSavers with me everywhere. It was amazing how well it worked for me! They also sell this syrup (in the pharmacy section) for kids with an upset stomach. It doesn't have medicine in it, just sugar. I used to just drink that stuff right out of the bottle!

I kept Jolly Ranchers candies in my pocket all the time. Only the green apple and watermelon flavors tasted right to me. Also Lemon drops. I usually couldn't stomach the whole thing, but I would just suck on it until the nausea subsided. I also tried Zofran, but it gave me a really bad headache. I

I was sick 24/7 the first 6 months of my pregnancy. I would always have saltines and pretzels next to my bed. Before even sitting up in the morning I would eat some and that worked wonders! I pretty much lived on saltines and pretzels. I also carried the lifesaver wintergreen breathmints with me at all times and at the first sign of nausea coming on I'd stick one in my mouth - worked great also. Good luck!

I know this is completely counter-intuitive, but when I was pregnant with my twins, whole milk always calmed my nausea. I had a flight attendant challenge me on it when I asked for whole milk. I was like, "Lady, I am pregnant with twins; I am sick like this everyday. Do you think I just came up with the idea of the whole milk here on this flight? Bring me the *&@#* milk." May not work for others, but it worked like a charm for me.

I was sick through my entire pregnancy with my twins. Nothing helped me at all. What ease the nausea a little was the smell of rubbing alcohol & taking deep breaths. I used to walk around with alcohol pads. At this point try some of the suggestions, hopefully one will work for you.
Take care & Congratulations

Vitamin B6 taken at night can help especially with motion sensitivity. Theres an over the counter chew called Nauzene, sold at Walmart; it consists of electrolytes so it is especially helpful if your nausea has you to the point of dehydration.
I agree that ginger is helpful, I found that a couple shakes of ginger juice (comes in a bottle like hotsauce found at healthfood stores) in hot water was most soothing in the morning. This I think for me was because I suffer from allergies and drinking it in hot water also aided in clearing my throat/nasal which is worse in the morning.
Hang in there, congratulations and good luck!!!!

My Dr. prescribed me a medicine called Zofran, It works great and is a pregnancy category B, you can't get much safer (except not taking anything, but if you are losing weight it is better than that). My nausea got better after about 24 weeks, if I remember right. Also I found that I didn't throw up flour tortilla shells.

Nuts too! Julie brings up a good tip I forgot about - I always kept a bag of walnuts, almonds and macadamia nuts in my desk at work. The oils and vitamins are great during pregnancy, and I could almost always keep them down.

sounds crazy but a&w rootbeer worked wonders for me. I dont know if it was the fizz or what but it calmed my stomach down in no time (and its caffeine free!).

I had morning/afternoon/nighttime sickness with my twins, and Diclectin was an amazing help; ask your doctor. Even still, I never ate before I'd been awake for 2-3 hours. Hope things improve for you!

eat teeny bits of food throughout your day - mainly protein...

You now have two parasites clinging to you for nourishment and they get the food first -

... Pop a handful of walnuts in your mouth ... or add a good vitamin B complex and drink warm water with it...

♥ ENJOY THOSE BABIES and stay positive

I was severly sick whin I was pregnant with Twins. The only thing that help was a prescribed medicine from the doctor called Zofran. It really really helps and is completely safe for the baby. I would definitly talk to your doctor about getting on this medicine. I tried vitamin b and Phenergan and nothing helped. But this medicine kicks in immediately. I lost 15lbs during the first 2 months of my pregnancy due to the sickness. I couldn't even sip water without getting sick or severe nausea. Then I got on this medicine and was so much better.

One of the B vitamins is supposed to help. The only thing I could find that worked was mints. I practically lived on mint flavor certs and mentos.

I had 24\7 vomiting for 7months. The only relief I had was from saltines and ginger ale. My OB\GYN also had me take Vitamin B complex. But talk to your doctor. Twins put so much more stress on your body than a single child and your MD is usually your best source. Good luck, feel better and congratulations!

Ginger! You can get ginger candy at health food stores and if you have an Asian market around they should sell a dehydrated ginger drink. Just add water and drink. It helps too when I feel the stomach flu coming on. Maybe even sip some ginger ale. Good luck!

sour candy works wonders!! i know they have preggie pops out on the market now too, i never personally tried them but i hear they are great. umm, also vitamin b6 i think it is? is supposed to help too. another thing to try is to carry crackers with you everywhere. saltines work great. eat them when you feel like you are getting queezy. if you try to always keep something on your stomach that helps. oh ginger is suppose to help too. so try drinking ginger ale and eating a few crackers. i was horrible sick with my first son and the sour candy and crackers worked great.
