My son got an extra tooth for some reason. I took him to the doctor and all they could tell me is that it may be an extra tooth or it may be an adult tooth coming down too early. It doesn't seem to be bothering him much now that it broke through but i was just wondering if this has happened to any of your kids.

I had an extra set of permanent teeth. The second permanent front ones came in behind the first, so I had 2 rows until one was pulled. The second set of molars came in below and an orthodontist had to pull the first set of permanent molars. My uncle also had extra teeth like that.

How old is your son? My son started loosing teeth when he was 6. Since then he has lost 4 teeth, three of those teeth had the adult tooth already grown in behind the baby tooth. Currantly both of his lower canine adult teeth have grown in and only one of the baby canines is slightly loose. To be totaly honset it has been maddening. My husband is in the military but since he is a civilian employee of the DOD our insurance is not provided for us, and the dental is just to expensive, the dentist we go to now is a close family friend and lets me make payments, but he is the only choice I have since no one else will accept payments, and his approach to these extra teeth is very laid back. I have asked many times to have the baby teeth pulled, and he just wont do it. He doesnt want to "scare" my son to early about dentists. So now my sons mouth is a mess, and I know he will have to have braces, which is a whole nother problem, how am I going to pay for them?????

it happen to me my adult teeth started to come down to soon. so i had to get some teeth pulled to make room
