Faint lines on home preg test. Help what does this mean.

[deleted account] ( 11 moms have responded )

I've taken two test and they both have given me faint line. If it shows up at all does that mean it detected some trace of pregnancy hormone and I'm pregnant? Or could it just be there b/c i peed on stivk and it showed a small hint of line? I can't go to doctor till next week and am going crazy. Should I go get a different brand? If so any recomendations? I used first response.

congratulations! I know it's frustrating, I had to hold mine up to every different light source in the house before I believed it :)

Congratulations Momma!

If you get any kind of line on a pregnancy test, you're pregnant. It's possible to get a false negative, but there's almost no chance of a false positive. If you want to be extra certain, test with your first pee of the day because that's when hCG levels will be present in the highest amounts.

Didn't it come with directions? Maybe you should get the digital one. The test that talks to you?

Sometimes there isn't enough of the hormone for the home pregnancy test to show enough of the lines to tell you if you are pregnant or not. I used around 10 tests before I was sure with my first pregnancy and 3 with my second before going to the doctor. But if you are having too much trouble sometimes the best route is to make an appointment or just go to a walk-in for results. First response didn't work for me, they gave me false negatives so I used Clear blue.
