False negative pregnancy test?

Hi there, may I ask how long you have had had your marina in when you started getting these symptoms? Iv had myn in place for 1 year 6 months now and had normal cycles up until now, I'm currently 2 weeks late and getting all the same symptoms I had when I was pregnant with my daughter, but why would my cycle change after so long having the marina in? Iv done 3 tests and all have been negative so far.

Are you sure it's not a faint positive? Maybe you're earlier than you predicted. I know with my daughter I experienced late inplantation bleeding (thought i was experiencing a miscarriage) at 9 weeks. Went to ER and got an ultrasound and the ultrasound tec said it was late inplantation. So I'm sure the same can happen with early inplantation. But yeah your best bet is to get a blood test to take all the guess work out of it.

im not any birth control at all and have always had regular periods on and off it. ive never had mirena. i was on the pill for like 6 yrs then was off it 2 weeks when i got pregnant with my daughter (17 mnths). i found out through a pregnancy test about 4 days after my missed period. so even though i havent had a true period in 7 weeks, i havent gotten a positive test. i might try one more before i call my doctor.

I guess it's possible... but highly unlikely if you believe you are that far along. I'd get a blood pregnancy test from the doctor just to be sure.
I was 95% sure I was pregnant despite getting 5 negative tests because my symptoms were exactly to a T the same as the early symptoms I experienced in my first pregnancy. I came to find out that my Mirena IUD was causing the symptoms including skipping my cycle, lower back pain, cramping, nausea, frequent urination, fatigue, weight gain, my hair on my legs not growing back as quickly (i experienced that with my first pregnancy and went from shaving every other day to once a week). I'm sure there were more I can't remember but I thought for sure I must be getting false negatives. I went to the doctor's for a blood test and it was negative as well then I began reading of other women's "false pregnancies" on Mirena.

I know a woman who has nothing but neg test even when she was 3 months along. She swore to her doc she was pregos and he didn't think she was, however after finally talking her doc into a blood test, it confirmed she was. I've been reading up alot lately on HCG levels and the range is insane. So go see your doc, get a blood test and you can know for sure. Best wishes

it's definately possible for false negatives on home tests - the only sure bet is to go get a blood test done from the doctor. not only will this confirm or dismiss your thoughts of pregnancy, but it will ease your mind if you are pregnant if all your hcg levels are normal...i had two tests not pick up and switched brands and it picked up (when i went to the dr the next day it was confimed i was 7 weeks as well). gl!
