you all need to stop worrying and chill out, babies put their fingers in your mouth to show affection, a baby development expert told me this, either that or they're just fascinated with your teeth and want to explore them, how do babies explore their world? with their hands and mouth! don't stifle their natural instincts, if all you've got to worry about is a few fingers in the mouth I envy you, try having a premature baby who wouldn't feed for three weeks.

I thought my son was the only one that did that. I've tried to stop him from doing that and nothing works. He'll either keep crying or he will slap me

My eight month old is doing the same thing- every time she nurses, in my mouth they go! Distraction is working a little. Perhaps you could giver her something to fiddle with when you settle for bed (I assume you co-sleep).

they make this stuff you can put on their fingers that doesnt taste good and they dont like it and they usually dont do it again after that. im curious as to what everyone has to say to this though because we tried that stuff on my niece and she is 8 years old and still does it when she goes to sleep.
