I am just wondering if anyone thinks 19 months is too young to bring to Fireworks? I am just not sure we should bring our daughter to see them with the crowds, the smoke, and the late time.

i brought my 11 and a half month old the the fireworks and even though he was tired he loved seeing all the ppl and all the noise....he like the actual fireworks too...he can walk to i bought a leash for if he got annoyed in the stroller and let him walk in the less crowded areas

I think as long as you don't sit too close to where they are setting off the fireworks you'll be ok. As for the crowds and the late time....just keep her in your sight at all times, maybe in a stroller. And staying up really late once every now and then isn't gonna spoil her. She'll probably be asleep before you get home and maybe, just MAYBE she'll sleep in for you tomorrow (fingers crossed for you). My husband was more worried that our son would be afraid of the fireworks, until I reminded him that he has slept through many a Florida lightning storm in his short life so far and he sleeps like...well, like a baby :) I doubt he'd be phased by some pretty lights in the sky. Have fun and let me know how she likes it :)

Thanks for the advice!! She really enjoyed the fireworks, She even said preddy a couple of times. We ended up going to a place that was recommended to my husband that had a very small crowd of about 20 people!! So the crowd wasn't a problem!!

I think you should take the baby to the fireworks. Just leave a quick escape plan in case they scare her. My son is 13 now and some of our best firework memories are from 2-5 years. Happy 4th!
