my son is 13weeks and breastfed, i want him 2 be able 2 take formula if i needed someone to look after him. i tried S26 GOLD and everytime he has thrown the whole thing up. now when i go to give him it in a bottle to try again he gags at the taste. Is there a defferant formula i should try , did anyone have the same problem with s26 gold ???

your little one will let you know, and it sound like he's telling you he doesn't like s26 gold. mine takes similac advanced, works just fine.

my son was too hungry for the amount of breast milk I supplied so we had to put him onto formula at 3 months....he was on s26 gold, and we never had any troubles.....maybe that was luck...although he did get constipated a little, nothing major!!

my daughter had really bad issues with s26 in general, it caused her to develop a rotavirus at 3 months old we had to keep her on lactose intollerant milk to get rid of it, i also found that with my son the s26 formula in both gold and original caused him to be constantly constipated (he is only a month old and slowly getting better) swapping from breat to formula does tend to stir their stomache a little bit but i found Lactogen (no it isnt lactose milk alhough the name seems like it) was the easiest, cheapest and best option for my 2 kiddies :) but im not sure whether where ever you are from actually sells it .. i have come across alot of fomula's mentioned on here that i have never heard of or seen before (probably coz im not from america like most mothers on here are) lol

Formula can take 3-5 days for their tummy's too get used too. I really like the Enfamil GentleEase, it's easy on their tummys and too digest, but the taste isnt' sweet. You could try a different brand, but remember it will take some getting used too and don't keep switching becuz they won't like too take a bottle and it's not easy on their tummys. Best of luck
