I recently had to stop breastfeeding my eight month old due to some medical complications, I have successfully got him to eat from a bottle and take formula, the only problem is he will only eat around 2 ounces at a time and then of course he wants to eat again 15-30 mins later! has anyone else gone through this?? what did you do?

OH THIS SOUND SIMILAR TO MY SON, I HAD PUT HIM ON BOTTLES AND HE WAS FIN AT FIRST THEN SHORTLY AFTER HE STARTED TO FED MORE END MORE OFTEN BUT NOT WAS NOT FINNISHING HIS BOTTLE SO I WENT TO MY LOCAL PHARMACY AND ASK WHAT COULD I DO? SHE SHOWED ME A FORMULA CALLED NOVALAC, WICH WAS DESIGNED TO HELP WITH ALL DIFFERENT SITUATIONS SUCH AS COLLIC, *HUNGRY BABIES* ETC, WHICH WAS JUST THE ANSWER I NEEDE BUT THE ONLY BAD SIDE WAS THIS PARTICULAR FORMULA DID NOT HAVE ALL THE GOOD STUFF LIKE PRO-BIOTICS AND THING LIKE THAT SO I ASKED IF IT WOULD BE OK IF I USED MY REGULAR FORMULA MISS ONE SCOOP AND ADDED A SCOOP FROM THE NOVALAC SHE ASURED ME THAT IT WOULD BE PERFECTLY HARMLESS TO MY SON. HE NOW FEED ABOUT EVERY 3 HOURS AND STAYS FULLER FOR LONGER. :) I HPE THIS CAN HELP!!

well....i weaned my son when he was about 4-6 weeks old....i just gradually mixed formula and breastmilk and then put more formula than breastmilk every couple days....and the transition was easy for us.....sorry i don't have much advice on this one but wish you the best of luck....
