Try instant oatmeal for breakfast (my boys absolutely love the apple flavor), it's super easy because all you have to do is add warm water (which I make in the microwave).

Another easy breakfast is Eggo waffles or frozen mini pancakes.  Waffles can be heated up in the toaster pretty quick and the mini pancakes cook fast in the microwave.

Or have you tried cereal and milk?  I've found Rice Krispies work great because the kids love the popping noises and if you put very little milk in the bowl with lots of cereal it's less messy to scoop (because the rice krispies absorb the milk).

For lunch we usually do apple slices and cheese (or you could do peanut butter with apples if your kids aren't allergic) with deli meat rolls.

For dinner the quickest thing I can think of is black beans and corn over rice.  Open a can of blackbeans, drain.  Open a can of corn, drain and add to the black beans.  Heat the beans and corn while the rice is cooking (I have a rice cooker, so all I have to do is put the rice and the water in and press the button).  Serve with cheese or salsa or sour cream.

Hope these helped!  Good luck!

Being 4 and 2 thier help is limited. The help mix brownie mix, pancake mix , pour the veggies in a bowl, push the buttons on the microwave and get things in and out of the pantry and the fridge. They seem to think its a big deal !!

Your son is still young, so his eating habits will change. One of the things that has worked well w/ my 4 children is to remind them that their tastebuds might have changed since the last time they tried "it", so try it again. But mostly, keep putting different foods in front of him along w/ old favorites - not that he has many old favs at his age, (smile).

My kids now love baked potatoes....since I started letting them put their own toppings on.  I just set out the cheese, bacon pieces, sunflower seeds, etc. and they sprinkle them on their plates.  I would have put the same things on myself, but they eat more when they "make it" themselves.

Yes my son is almost three and he is a very neat child (can you believe that) and he always sets the table, takes the table off, and I haven't let him help with the meals as much as I maybe should. He takes a big interest in anything that his daddy or I do.. Aside from the mickey mouse pancakes as as kid my mom would make happy face pancakes, or alphabet pancakes.

I dont usually do things like that. With the exception of Micky Mouse pancakes. Pretty much my kids eat what they are given and when possible I let them help make the meals and they set the table.

I'll start this off, I find that if you make meals fun and even attractive that kids are more into it. Like having a lot of color in a meal, and something that I have notice with kids is that the items on their plate can not touch,

Here some simple snack ideas;

"Bugs On A Log" - Either cheese whiz or peanut butter spread into a celery topped with either raisins, or chocolate chips.

"Worms N Dirt" - Chocolate pudding with gummy worms and oreo crumbs. That's a huge hit in my house.

Well I am excited to see what else will come out of this conversation.
