I am 32 weeks pregnant and have yet to pick a name for our daughter. I feel like I am running out of time!! Please help!

We like names you don't hear alot, but aren't scarring to our children in the future. Something classic.

How about Emerson or Layton (Leighton). I like different names so these are some more of my favorites!

I like Shaila, or Shaia (shy-a) also Tavanna and Chiarra. The name I picked for mine just called me like she told me that was her name...so maybe that will work for you too.

We named our daughter Peyton Jane and we call her PJ and I love it, but Peyton is beginning to be more common. If I have another girl I like the name Karstyn as well as Brooklyn Paige.

We have in our family, Trisha, Mary, Amanda, Lyndsey, Sarah, Melissa, Michelle, Leslie, and Emily, but I agree about looking the baby in the eye because when my youngest son was born I want sooo bad for his name to be Brian....but when I looked into his eyes he was definately a Chad.....

I love Camryn and Claire for a girl. Or you could go with unusual, Jerris. I've had to live with it 33 years and I always get what a cool name it is.

I had a baby girl in june and we were going to name her Isabella, but that is one of the most popular names right now and we also would like something different but not too out there. We chose Rosalie Grace (her older sister is Lillian Marie so now we have a flower theme going :o) Other names in our family are Adrienne, Glynis, Danielle, and my grandmother is Charmaine and my great grandmother was Mary Jewel. A friend just had a baby named Fiona... hum what else... I work in child care so here are some of the names I've heard: Chloe, Sandra, Morgan, Cassandra, Evelyn (they call her Evie), Kaitlyn Rose, Macy, Katrina, Asaki (means sunshine i think), Emily, Shelby, Cameron (call her Camie), Lilah, Darcy. Not sure if any of these sound good to you, but I'm sure the right name will hit you at the right time. We didn't choose our daughter's name until we were driving to the hospital (45 min drive) to be induced!

Good Luck!

Quoting Tammy:

We have a Sierra Rose and a Cheyenne Nicole. Sierra is a little more popular than Cheyenne there is not another one in my daughter's school.

My oldest is Sierra Rain- I would have named her Cheyenne but we had already given that name our beloved dog(1st kid) several years before & I didn't want people to think I named her after the dog-LOL!

Both of my grandmothers' names were Lilian so if I had a daughter it was going to be Lilian M'lynn

My neice's name is Elia. Everyone who hears it thinks it's beautiful. I have 2 sons and somehow knew that I would only have boys, so even though I thought about girls' names, I never really picked one out. I like some of the names some of these women have said - Audrey, Avery, Isabella, Elizabeth. I also like Abigail. My friend just had a baby and named her Myra.

As odd as this may seem we narrowed it down to about 2 or names and waited until we saw them and then made up our decisions based on what we thought fit them best. I also have four girls...

Good luck~I'm sure it will suit her just fine...

I love Claudia, Ava (really love Ava), Autumn, Jewel, Starr, Jayde, and Abigail Diana-Noelle has to be an all time fav. (My daughter's names are Abigail Diana-Noelle and Autumn Renee). I also had a friend in college named LaShae and she was as beautiful as her name. What about Loralei ?

I have 3 boys... so, I didn't get a chance to use any of my girl names... but, the ones we had chosen were:

Addison Paige

Elise Rae

Laurel Dawn

I also love the names Olivia, Ava, Grace, Eve... but some of those have become extremely popular.

Good luck... I think naming babies is just one of the hardest things EVER :)

My dd is Jacie Emerson. We have several nicknames for her like Jac, and Emmy. There aren't a ton of Jacie's but her name is commonly misspelled. I love the name Harper for a girl! Congrats and post the name you choose!

All of the names moms have posted are great! As a teacher, please try not to go for the most popular name at the time. The child will be called by their last name by friends to not cause confusion as my son is. Also try not to choose a name whose spelling is so different that only you and the child will always get it right.

Congratulations! We have three daughters, and like you, wanted something classic. Our daughters are Clare Marie, Camille Anne (she's Cami to her friends) and Cathleen Grace. Their middle names are all family names. We spent time looking in baby name books and with our own family tree. Good luck, and best wishes to you.

I don't particulary like my name Kimberly Jane, but I love my 2 sisters' names. RaDonna Rae(although RaDonna wished it would have been spelled RaDawna Reigh) and Raine Elizabeth. I wanted to name my eldest Sunshine Day and call her Sunny. Her name is Heather Sheryl Diane. I wanted Marioku for my youngest and call her Marky. Her name is Krista Marie. They both like their names so I suppose my ex-husband did a good job. Best wishes on your naming process

I have 2 daughters who have unique names. I love names that no one else has. My name was in the top 10 when my mom named me. I always said if I had another girl I would call her Larisa. I'm pregnant with my third which is due in Dec. However it's a boy so I can't use the name. This will be my last pregnancy. But I love that name so much I will share it with you in hopes that someone will use it.
