I am 32 weeks pregnant and have yet to pick a name for our daughter. I feel like I am running out of time!! Please help!

We like names you don't hear alot, but aren't scarring to our children in the future. Something classic.

What about Lovely Amanda. I have a friend who named her daughter that and her name was Amanda to. That way her daugther's middle name was after hers. I also like Aednah (pronounced Edna) Rosemarie.

Congratulations! A new baby is so exciting! My daughter's name is Jadyn. She is 5 and it was not heard much at all back then but it is heard a lot now. And has lots of different spellings: Jaden, Jayden, Jaydn, Jaiden... I also really like the name Bree, that's actually my middle name but decided not to use it as Jadyn's first name. Some others I like are Olivia, Linley, Hannah, and Jadelyn.

Good luck! I hope you find just the right one!

My daughters are Whitney & Ashley. My granddaughters are Courtnee Lynn & Brinley Marie. Nieces Kiara & Erika. Greatniece Paydin. But if you want a classic mine is Patricia. My grandmother was a Louisa pronounced Lu-wise-a. The best place to look for classic names you don't hear very often is in your family tree a couple of generations back

I agree completely with Lashun....my husband and I have a young couple that we are friends with and he named the girls and she named the boy...the girls are Quayle Jo and Oakley Sue...both sweethearts and names you don't hear often.  Is pronounced like the Quail bird with a Lee on the end...dad is a hunter!  It took him 5 hours of holding her and strolling up and down the hospital halls with her to find her name

We like old fashioned names Anne, Amelia, Maybelle, Delilah, Lucy, Molly, Mae. Beryl is unique; it's my aunts name, it's a stone. Lenore is also unique; it's my grandma's, it's from the poem the Raven. And keep in mind you may have to meet your little one before you can name her. That happened with my last two. My 3rd we had 2 names picked and she just favored one name over the other. With my 4th we weren't expecting a boy; so it took a few days to make a list and decide. We have 3 girls and 1 boy.

best way to find out is pick a name go out to the front yard and yell for your child eight or ten times if you still like it after calling it that many times it's the ONE, don't forget to use the middle name too cause you're going to be using it often!

Congrats! I reviewed the replies and did not see what I would've named my child if I had a baby girl (had a boy)....I would have named her Danielle. Also, I remember reading about the syllables...if you have a single syllable last name, the first name should be 2 or more syllables. My middle name is Irene -- a classic -- I have yet to run into another using Irene as a first or middle name.

Names of places, such as rivers (Jordan), or cities (Savannah, Salem) can become beautiful names for girls. If you've worn out all the baby name books, try a map or atlas!

I like the name Robyn 4 a girl. I'v had 2 boys & even if I had had a girl I unfortunatly wouldn't of been able to use it as it clashed with the childrens surname.

It really depends on you Amanda. Some people would want their great great grandparents name for their children's names. Some would want their names added to their children's. I love catherine and genevieve. It is common but classic. Good luck =)
