Hi. I suggest you have a look at the top 40 or even top 100 names in UK and USA, because when we named our daughter Caitlin, nearly 15 years ago, we'd only heard about one other -but we found it was in the top 3 in the USA, and there were quite a few girls called that. When it came to our son, we used the internet first, and we chose a name NOT in the top 40 - Angus. There are some lovely names around - I like some of the ones posted here - my suggestion is to just avoid the most popular because something like Madison is really popular now and in about 6 years there'll be 6 Madisons in every class... good luck

My niece is named Gia and I love that name! Simple to spell, simple to write, and easy to say. I don't know what it means, but I would guess warm and full-hearted going by how my Gia has turned out.

I named my daughter Keziah pronounced kez-i-ahhh (short e sound). Some people pronounce it differently. It's quite unique. From the book of Job, Old Testament.

I'm a gardener by trade so I love the flower names for girls like Lily or Rose, maybe not Iris though, that makes me think of old ladies!

Good luck! Enjoy your little girl they are such treasures to have

Annette is a great name...I have lived with it for 51 years and have always liked it. It's easy to pronounce, and good for traveling. It's unique enough in that when I leave a phone message I don't have to use my last name and they still know who it is (try that with Emily!)... but not so out in left field that that your daughter won't be able to buy stickers or a toy license plate for her bike with her name on it (without special ordering it!) Plus there's the added advantage that she'll be able to claim a history with one of the original Mousketeers....very vintage. Other favorites of mine are Eleanor and Vivienne (Vivi) for short! I found those names on the doors at the nursing home (always a great source of classic names!) when I was visiting my mom, Jeanne...another favorite name of mine! Whatever you choose, enjoy saying it!

I chose my Son`s name when i was just 16years old and he was only born when i was 33years old. His name is Rhys (pronounced Rees) we used the Welsh spelling because our surname is Welsh. I was going to call my Daughter Candice but by the time she was born when i was 36 it had got too popular, so i named her Casey. Both my children went right through Nusery, Junior and High School without ever coming across another child with their names. Rhys is 30years and Casey 28years and they still find their names quite rare, thats if you dont live in Wales, evidently there is a Rhys on every street corner in Wales.

I love the name Alizabeth or Reanna...however, we ended up naming our daughter Lillianna Skie but it fits her perfect. Just as Jayden Star fits my other daughter. Good Luck!

I know the feeling...we couldn't decide on a name for our oldest daughter until we were at the hospital. But we chose Eliana (pronounced Ellie ana). We use Ellie as a nickname. We liked it because it was different, I had never heard it before; but it wasn't off the wall.

Actually, If there were a Jenny at my kids' school, she would be the only one...I don't think anybody's been named Jennifer, Sarah, Michael or Jonathon in many years now

My daughter is called Bethany, not that common 17 years ago when she was born, more common now, when I had my son 10 years ago had he been a girl he would have been called Verity, even now I still think it's a beautiful classic name, good luck with your name choice, and it's true when you see your beautiful baby you will know instantly what you are going to call her, good luck and enjoy they really do grow up too fast, x

Vickie, I like Alyssa Rose! I really wanted the name Jordan for my daughter, but her father didn't like it, so we named her Natasha, I have since seen it spelt Natascha and Natarsha.

I like Samantha a lot. That's what I named my kiddo. :)
Lorraine is also very pretty. I'm also fond of Margaret, Elizabeth, and Rebecca. I tend to go for the classics. :)
