We are going to Spain in a couple of weeks, and although I am looking forward to the trip, I am dreading the plane ride with my active little guy. I just wondered if anyone had any great tips for traveling with an active toddler...such as packing..should I take a light stroller for convienence or a heavy duty one for naps and carrying items... quiet yet entertaining toys and activities... airport tips??? THANK YOU!

I traveled on aplane with my son at that age.although we only went to FL so our ride was much shorter then yours will be. For starters i took the heavey duty stroller. Its pretty easy at the gate and I was able to store stuff while in the airport. I also brought plenty of snack ( stuff he doesnt have everyday i.e cookies, brownies)so that he had treats with him. Also I bought him a hand held video game. He couldnt play it and I muted the sound but he liked the idea of pushing the buttons and pretending to be playing. Crayons and coloring books were helpful too. Basically I brought things with my that he didnt have access too all the time. So that when he got antsy I pulled them out and they entertained him for a while. Does he watch any tv? You could bring a portable DVD player and his favorite movies for him to watch.
