In the past year I have become a single parent of 3. When I was with my ex I seemed to loose contact with many friends and don't have many close friends now. I feel very lonely and wondered if anyone in the Reading/ Mortimer Area would fancy meeting for a cuppa, a chat and letting the kids play? I am also on facebook and would love any genuine friend requests- with message Thanx :o)

Try contacting your Local Surestart Centre to see if they have any mother and baby groups available =] I've met a few mums that way and also met a few using netmums.com =]

Unfortunately I don't live in your area, but I know how you feel. My husband has stayed in touch with a few longtime friends, but I lost touch/found friends were'nt such good friends. I have had such a hard time making friends. I tried going to a playgroup for working moms, but most of the moms there already knew each other & just talked to each other. I tried to keep in touch with 1 other mom, but eventually gave up after to many delayed &/or no responses. Good luck in making friends in your area.

You should see if there is play group or something in your area to join or even go to, cause even though, some may have spouses they still have the same problems as you do. Help this helps you out.
