My one year old has such red, chapped litle cheeks. Any suggestions for a lotion that will help without breaking out his face?

Aquaphor. It's expensive but well worth it.

Thanks everybody! Good to know the pricier lotions do actually work. Aveeno and Aquaphor were ones I had seen ads for, but I didn't want to buy an expensive bottle of lotion and find out they were no better than regular baby lotion. Now I know what to add to my shopping list :)

My little man has the same problem and regular baby lotion just makes it worse. The best I have found is Aveeno baby. Works great!

We love Baby Aveeno Soothing Relief Moisture Cream. It works wonders on VERY dry and chapped skin.

Our doctor recommended Vanicream for my son's eczema & chapped skin. It works great and doesn't sting.

I use Mustela Hydra Stick. Check it out at Mustelausa.com under skin protection. My son had the same problem and nothing seemed to work. He is 6 now and no longer gets the red chapped cheeks, instead its now dry skin. I love it so much i still use it. The tops of his hands get very red and chapped and I use it there as well. IT'S WONDERFUL!

I always use Eucerin Aquaphor. Eucerin is a great name brand, and aquaphor helps protect againt irritations from saliva. If you have a drooler that has chapped skin, this stuff is great. I think its a little pricey, but its totally worth it. You can notice a difference in a day. Also if your in a pinch, vaseline works great too!

Little Faces has a product out that looks like a really big fat chapstick tube and its called Little Faces. It is clear and thick and just for faces. My middle child always had a chapped face especially in the cold months and this worked wonders. Put them to bed and by morning their face is almost cleared up.

Aveeno works wonderfully. They make it for babies or you could just use the adult formula.Just make sure what ever you use has no fragrance.

When my son starts to get dry skin anywhere I use Aveeno Lotion it is the best! And I swear I use it once and the redness and dryness goes anyway with in a day!! Also try the bath wash too.
Good luck
