It's been 10 months since I gave birth and I am still loosing clumps of hair. What are your experiences? Is this normal?

You could try taking a vitamin for the hair loss. I took Biotin. I also took the fish oils vitamins. I took whatever I could get my hands on because it made me really self conscious! lol

My hair stayed thick and pretty until about 9 months after my last baby, then started falling out like crazy. I had continued to take prenatal vitamins until she was 6 months old (then the dr. said I needed to switch back to normal vitamins) because I was breastfeeding and felt we could both use all the extra help we could get (I was 36, didn't want to fall apart too soon! LOL). So, after about 3 months off the vitamins my hair started really coming out, so I immediately cut it short and donated it. It was also the same month that I started back having a period (even though I was still breastfeeding), so I blame the hairloss on either hormones or the extra vitamins being completely out of my system. But long story short, I have heard a lot of women say it is normal, and I can tell you it will stop.

Sorry to hear about the hair loss. I too am experiencing post pregnancy hair loss. It’s caused by the flux of estrogen that our bodies are experiencing. And unfortunately they say it'll take about 6-12 months for our hormones to get back to normal and the hair loss will cease. I have been using “Folicure Formula for Fine or Thinning Hair” and it has been helping a little. If it’s still coming out in clumps after the 12 months then I suggest seeing a doctor. Take care & good luck.
