a friend sent me this link the other day. i had a hard time reading what little information the police could bear to share about what this woman had done to her poor helpless little boy. i think that with her history of being in and out of the psych ward should have raised a red flag and she should NOT have been able to keep her son. this is a sad sad story and in my opinion, one f***ed up lady with more then a few screws loose upstairs.

Such a sad story. My little one is 2 months old and it made my heart hurt to hear about this (I was in Houston over the weekend and heard the report on the local news).

The mother was most obviously insane and I'm sure that if she ever returns to her right mind she probably won't be able to live with what she's done. It seems she tried to kill herself so she may- in some small part of her mind- know what a terrible thing she did.

Very, very sad. At least the child is no longer in danger and is no longer suffering. I feel awful for her family members who have to live with this legacy.

I couldn't read the whole article as it made me sick! Who in their right mind would allow someone like that to have custody of her child and how can you do that to your most precious gift in life? It's discusting!

I agree they should have known that she would do somthing like that n take the lil boy off her. I am a mother of 4 children and also have three step daughters, I couldn't emagine any1 doing anything like that to their babys. That is crule n sick. That women should b more then just charged.

I agree with the statement that she was not in her right mind. And yes, I agree that red flags should go up with any mother of young children who have "been in and out of psych wards". It is stressful enough to be a mom without those kinds of problems. Someone else should have had that little one till she got help!!! Poor baby - at least he is in a better place now.

I'm the mother of a 12 week old baby boy, and that story made me physically sick - i couldnt finish reading it, and the parts i did read made me vomit. what made it worse was seeing the picture of such a gorgeous baby boy who was so cruelly treated by the one person who he was supposed to be able to trust most in this world. She should never have been allowed to take him home. if the hospital had done their job, that baby would still be alive and safe to this day. he wouldn't have had his life cut short so terribly.

like i said before, i think that especially with her history of her being in and out of the wacky shack, the hospital NEVER should have allowed her to take that baby home! the boyfriend should be beat, and i think that she needs to be executed slowly and painfully. not only did it make me sick to think about someone killing their own child with swords, but she had to consume his body parts too? he was only 3 1/2 weeks old for petes sake! so helpless, and very very sad. without a doubt, 110%, she needs to be served the death penalty. THANK GOD Texas is one of the few states that still allows the death penalty! i hate living here, but GOD BLESS TEXAS!
