I also had a hospital water birth and loved it. The hot water was really soothing for the pain (I adore hot baths) and I was really comfortable. I have had 3 children and the waterbirth was the nicest memory. To know that he was born in water is kinda cool. I totally recommend it - the option for me at the time from my midwife was "you can use the bath as a form of pain relief or you can stay in it for the birth". Maybe you could see if that option is available, can you hop out if you aren't comfortable and how far would you have to travel to get to a birthing room?

I had a home water birth 2 days ago with my first child! I have nothing to camper it to but found it a lot easier to move around and change persishen in the water then on dry land and a lot less back pain but I fund that it did not really help with labour pain. The gas and air did that. Down size is the pain relief in the water is very limited so it’s good if you want a natural birth!

I had a hospital water birth with my first who was 8lbs and it was lovely. Really helped the pain and the stretching (only a tiny tear) and it seemed to speed everything up once I was in the water. Hoping to have a home water birth for the next one!!
