Has anyone had Obstetric Cholestasis?

I had this rare condition called Obstetric Cholestasis while in my 3rd Trimester. My baby then had to be born 4 weeks early by c-section otherwise there was risk of stillbirth. I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this.

I only had it with my last pregnancy with twins. It was horrible, and I was finally diagnosed after suffering weeks of itching. I got on the meds and the itching stopped. My twins were born at 36 weeks by c-section. They were fine at birth

I had it with all 3 of my babies. The first time it wasn't diagnosed, but I was so itchy throughout the end of my pregnancy. The second time I started itching at 30wks, and was diagnosed with it straight away. I was put on ursodoxycholic acid, scanned twice a week, and the symptoms all went. My son was born at 37wks naturally - he chose to come early! Third time wasn't so bad, but still meant the same routine. I was induced at 39wks and my daughter was born 2 years, to the day, after my son!

Although it was scary to start with, it wasn't too bad. The urso was the lifesaver as it got rid of all the itching. I guess the worse thing is if you have it once, you're pretty much guaranteed to get it in all subsequent pregnancies.
