Im deciding what birth control to go on because i fall pregnant very easy and the doctor has sugested the IUD but im a bit nervous with the idea of something being put up here 24/7, like does it fall out, can you tell its there, does it hurt etc..

i love my mirena i dont have to worry about taking a pill or missing pills i had cramps when they put it in but you have to be on your period when they put it in. we dont even feel it :)

I had a Mirena for 12 months in between children, I had no probs with the insertion or while it was there. Never felt it, stopped menstruating immediately, so in that respect it was great. I did however put on 8 kgs in the year it was in and had not changed my lifestyle at all so the only thing I could put it down to was the Mirena. I told the doctor when she removed it and she said that about 1/3 of women experience unexplained weight gain while they have a Mirena inserted. That was information I would have appreciated BEFORE I had it put in.

I have had 2 Mirena IUD's (after each child) I LOVE IT, no periods ever!! and I never think of birth control YEAH!!! highly recommend it to everyone (it also cheaper in the long run than anything else & no funky side effects)

i have had my mirena for a year and a half now and i love it. it was a little uncomfortable the first day, but that was because my cervix had been clamped open lol. i did have to go back and have the string trimmed to where my hubby didn't feel it, but we both love it. he can't feel it and i don't have any periods. it also really helps with my achne.

Hate the Mirena..some people take it differently..but i had mine in for 6 months and it fell out..and i became pregnant with my second child. i didnt have much side effects other then cramping. it did hurt when it was going on but not to bad. Good Luck- i personally like the depo shot because i didnt have periods or anything and its every 3 months you get it.

I just got one put in about 5 days ago and so far no issues the procedure was alitte uncomfy i was crampy for the rest of the night but b y the next day i was 100%

I had mine for 5 years,
Its a bit uncomforatable going in but after that you dont feel it at all.
The chances of it falling out are pretty slim, and it has two little strings you can feel for to make sure its still there. the only thing I had a problem with was my Hubby could somtimes feel it during intercorse.
I think their great :)
