My baby hates riding in the car. If he's not sleeping he's crying. Any suggestions?

My son did that, I went to wal mart got the little people CD, and we played it everywhere we went. Still to this day, he is now 2, we still listen to it. It calmed him down he loved the music and mommy singing with it. and if he would get upset when he was little we'd turn it on and to the ANTS GO MARCHING ON, instant quiet. Just a thought.

My son has the same issue... My son is 4 months old and is in a Chicco keyfit 30 carseat. Were looking into another diffrent carseat... He sweats real bad so then he crys and then his crying makes him sweat even more... I have tryed different carseats, feeding him right before we go out, diapers changes, toy bar, blanket, stuffed toy, ect. Nothing seems to help most of the time... Im sorry that I cant be much of help, but im also glad its not just my son. :) Im praying that he out grows it soon because im out alot.

How old is he? How big is he? His carseat may not comfortably hold him anymore. I'm not advocating turning him or anything. there are legal and health risks involved, so that needs to be your decision. What I am suggesting is that it may be time to move up to a convertible seat if he isn't already. Also, what's he got to look at? And, could the sun be getting into his eyes? Mine raised holy heck when that would happen. A shade will help immensely. If he's got a favorite toy or blanket, make sure he's got it. If there is a certain kind of music that calms him, play it. Talk to him, ask him what he sees even if he can't answer yet. Sing to him. Is he at a comfortable temperature? I've just noticed in our new car that the back seat is usually cooler or warmer than the front seat and not in a good way.
Ultimately, do what you need to get done, just try to plan it out to minimize car time. Keep at it, they do get over it eventually.

My son went through this, especially at night. I got a soft touch light that we could turn on and put next to him so he could see in the dark, Also there was a cd that always calmed him so we listened to that all the time. Good luck!

Well, I never had this problem with my daughter. She is 1. I always make sure that she has her stuffed tigger toy and her favorite blanket with her anytime we are in the car. How old is he? Maybe if you give him a stuffed toy to play with it would keep him occupied. Maybe a favorite blanket, it might be a security thing. He can't SEE you when your driving so he might be scared. Good luck. I hope this helps :)
