tks for the advice but with you second did it take a while to conceive im trying to have a sec been trying for about 6mths now went for blood work and urine and i am fine was easy to have my first child which is now 3

I knew i was pregnant with my second kid when my chest started hurting I wasn't late yet but took a test anyway I was two weeks pregnant

tks for the advice what if i have an idea of ovulating but not really sure when i do im not on any birth control pills ever and my periods are pretty well normal at least since i have been trying i have been 4 days late or 2 days ususally 28 taking flax oil what does that do i guess i will wait to take premose when i start my period in march cause i had just finished my period today my doctor had told me to take folic acid which i have been for at least 2 mths now is that okay ?

I start premorose oil the first day of my period until Ovulation day, than you stop until you get the next periods. Practicly you take the premorose oil 20 days. It will help to increase the cervical mocus and help sperm to travell easyer to the egg. than after Ovulation I continued with Flax Oil. Fish oil plus prenatal I took it during the day or whatever you feel. Meditation helps. Try to relax close your eyes and picture yourself with a baby. if you have any questions ples don't hesitate.

my chest got bigger right away, just around when i should have got my period. if your 4 days late a test should tell you now.

tks lisa for the advice now did you get the urine testing ones and for fish oil and prem rose oil what does that do for you do you just keep taking them or is there a specific time to take them i am taking folic acid right now the dr had told me to take that

No I wasn't doing the temp. I wanted but I found it boring. I did Ovulation Tests though...for months..listen to that now...In december 2010 I had left just two sticks. I tested earlyer, so practicly I wasted them for no reason. I ovulate usually around day 18 to 20..SInce was Christmas time and honestly I was so tired trying, I thought: Why not enjoying the holidays and drink and start all fresh in January. I didn't boughted an ovulation test neither had sex since my husbund was so busy. I had sex One time at the day that I suppose to ovulate and than BAM...that was it. No periods in January.Lots of people say relax enjoy don't think..It is easy to say. I will recommend you to bye Ovulation test. I was shocked when I tryed the first time. I was having sex in wrrong days.
Lots of fish oil /premerose oil/ royal gelly/meditation/
you will become pregnant son.

Melanie, try to take primorose oil. You have to start at the first day of your period until you'll ovulate than stop until you get next periods. I noticed changes in my cervical mocus the first month. The second month I got pergnant and don't forget I tryed for 11 months. I don't know if was meant to be for me that monthor premorse oil helped. You're not loosing anything anyway. I took 2 pills morning,lunch and dinner.

thanks ,i remeber right when i saw my doctor last year he had told me to try the temp i went right out to get it and had thought about the ovualtiong kits ? i know i do ovualte but since my period have been a little bit late lately ever since i have been trying i can't depend on that well will see what he has to say i thought about making an appt 2 mths ago then had thought lets wait until i hit the 6 mths to see i'll keep ya posted

Yeah, I tried the temp thing but, it really didn't seem to make any difference, my temperature is never consistent anyhow.

wow sorry to hear that Ya i know i was told by my doctor when i had gone to see him 2 mths of trying cause i was not understanding why im not when i had my child which is 3 now he had told me too he was not worried about it but had said he won't let it go too long so now it's 6 mths so i have an appt with himlater today just to talk and see ? he did mention to me to try the temp thing which i did and i was more stressed on doing it felt like a robot so i stopped

I actually didn't take extra folic acid, while trying to get pregnant, I eat really healthy but, I probably should have.

I did see the doctor about trying to get pregnant since I was 33, I'm now 34. They really don't do anything until you've been trying for year though. Or at 6 months if you're 35.

As far as my miscarriage though, I have a unicornuate uterus. Which means my left and right side of my uterus didn't fuse together when I was in my mother's womb. Only the right side of my uterus is capable of carrying a child, the left side is very small and not connected to my cervix. Unfortunately, I did become pregnant in the left side so it was unable to carry the baby. When I miscarried and they discovered that the baby was in the left side, I had surgery to completely remove that side. So, that shouldn't happen again and hopefully I have no problems with miscarriage again. :)

Hey Dana thanks for the adivce i feel better that im not the only one but for your 2nd when you were trying for so long did you take anything or get a check up with the doctor or were you just taking folic acid only

I would just take the folic acid and then move onto prenatals when you are actually pregnant.

thanks for the advice i have been trying that but pretty well every day except for one day we missed i would have sex right after my period would end which is usually is around 4 days or so im going to the docotrs tommorw to talk to him

Melanie I understand that you are getting anxious but at least you know that there is nothing physically wrong with either you or your partner as you have a child together already. Try and relax.

Now for the nitty gritty bit. I was trying for 4 months and getting really fed up so I tried a new technique. As soon as your period finishes have sex every 2-3 days until day 20. When you have sex or immediately after place a pillow under your butt tilting your pelvis backwards giving the sperm the best chance of penatrating your cervix. This method really does work as i was pregnant that month. I was advised to do this by my OBGYN. Tried and tested!

Melanie, I'm sorry, I know how frustrating it can be trying to get pregnant. Each month comes and your period starts and it just sucks. With my first son, it took one month, with our second it took almost a year. Unfortunately, I miscarried at 10 wks. We've now been trying for 6, almost 7 months.
So, keep your head up, keep trying and try to relax while doing so.

well i did start my period today feeling a little down about it once again I take it at least i started cause when i was late for 4 days i was getting menstral symptons and it was frustrating me if its going to come lets get it over with and mu husband had mentioned today at least you know where you stand im going to make an appt with the doctor caus ewhen i had spoken with him back in oct 2010 i had told him we are trying and all the other stuff and he had done blood work and urines and everything was fine he had also said he was not worried cause it's only been a couple of months now and just to relax and enjoy but he also mentioned that he would 'nt let it go so far i just need to learn to not get discouraged when my period does come there always another month to try its too bad i did not try earlier but at that time we were renting in a basement and it just was not a good time to have another especially in a small place now we had bought a house things are alot better 1 empty room hoping to fill in soon ... I am taking prenatal vitamins as af today and folic acid as well which i have been taking for awhile now .........

hello Melanie,\if you have regular period and you're trying, the chances are that you may be pregnant. Is a good sign that you had some kind of cramps and no period.

\i tryed for 11 months. \here I am 41 years old and almost 3 months.

Wow, I cant' believe you haven't been taking test yet. I'm a consent tester. As soon as I hit 5 days prior too my period and can test with a First Response I do. Just take a test. If it's neg and you still don't get a period 7 days after test again, however if you get a positive you now have something too look forward too. Best of luck, trying and waiting is soo hard.

I know of someone who tried for around 18 months with her first and 10 months with her second. Not to say you will take that long lol. I hope you don't take that long. I can't imagine how that would feel.

hey bonnie do you have 2 kids and if you do was it harder to have the 2nd or smooth sailing i know wiht my 3yr old now it was a piece of cake trying now i had thought the same i even tried the temp thing but had stooped caus eit was stressign me out and also trying to hit the ovualting times

Yeah can take test on day of missed period but if negative and u think u might be try again in few days - though those tests r expensive. I am weird in that I KNOW when I am pregnant one or two days after - weird I know. But felt it for both kids and both miscarriages. Good luck!

thank you i was thinking of waiting at least until next week cause one in a blue i do get me period a couple of days late so its just waiting now which will drive me nuts cause i keep thinking my period is here .. im really hoping this time I am never thought it would take this long to have a second child

If you were suppose to get your period on Feb. 9th than you could be able to find out now. For some women their HCG levels are not high enough at this point, so you may want to wait. It may be too early to feel any differently. With my pregnancies, I didn't feel any differently until around 7-8 weeks in. Even at that point, the only symptom I had was I was eating more, but that is also a pre-menstrual symptom. Then the nausea started.
