Have multiple cysts on both ovaries.

hi im 28years old and i just found out buy my dr chick up with a ultrasaund that i had sevral cysts on both my ovaries he said they are small and he was not going to give me any treatment because he wasent to cáncer about it and was going to let them go away on ther own.but im cáncer and want to know if thats the best choice? buy the way i have 4 kids already . please someone let me know thak you.

I get cysts all the time. B4 kids, I had one every month. They would hospitalize me. The cysts would burst and cause horrible pain. I would go in and out of conciousness and have cold sweats. After about 3 hospital visits i found that when i felt the pain start and i felt the cold sweats come on i would run a small amout of cold water in a bath tub and lay in it. It would somehow cause me to shiver, easing the pain and breaking the sweat... Crazy i know, but it always helped me. They never said they were going to do anything about it but try diff birth controlls to help eliminate the cysts. After my 1st child though i only had them once every few months and now my 2nd child is almost 7 months and i havnt had one since she was born.

I had a cyst that ruptured while I was in my 1st trimester with 1 of my kids. It was painful and I was hospitalised but all turned out fine, both baby and me.

Thank you for all your info. Dawn, I can't believe it was 30#'s!!!!! My problem is I don't have a cycle. The doctor is putting me on hormones to "create" one. But so far, after about 2 months, only a little spotting. I am not too concerned about pregancies since we are done having children. I am worried more about the hormones I'm taking and outcome of everything. My paternal aunt was dx with ovarian ca and my maternal aunt breat ca b/c of taking hormones. Sooooo, I am reluctant to stay on hormones for long b/c of the breat ca hx and a little worried b/c or the ovarian ca hx and I forgot to metion that I also have a hx of cervical dysplasia and needed the LOOP procedure in my early 20's. WOW...that was a mouthful. Hopefully you all understood. I appreciate any more scenarios anyone may have! THANKS AGAIN!

I just had a follow up sono last week and everything that looked suspicious had reabsorbed, just as my doctor expected. They are having me follow up with another doc just to be sure everything is okay. I was concerned about the worst case scenario because I'm on my own with my daughters but tried to just keep my eyes on the present and let my doctors do their job. I wanted to wait and see what the 2nd sono showed before I started to worry and although there were moments that wasn't easy, it was definitely the best choice I made.

Honestly, it depends on the KIND of cyst. Most come and go and aren't really that big a deal. It's when they start growing without bursting or reabsorbing that it can become an issue--and it does happen, though rarely. I personally had an ovarian cyst that was 30 pounds (not a typo) before it was detected. Needless to say, I needed surgery to remove it and lost one ovary in the process. Thankfully, it has not affected my fertility as I am no pregnant with baby #4 (all conceived with just the one ovary). Listen to your doctor, do your research, and go from there.

Cysts come and go throughout the monthly cycle. I also have cysts that sometimes get so big causes cramping but after a couple of days I am ok again. This has not stopped me falling pregnant or affected my fertility.

I found i had them after i miscarried and was told to follow up 6 months later but fell pregnant. I was told they were cause by my miscarriage. I also found out after my pregnancy that i have polycystic ovaries but was told that they dr's arent going to do anything about it at this stage.
